I have a Cali store that was asking 75k over MSRP for their Spyder RS allocation. I think I can get it closer to 50k over.

https://carbuzz.com/news/porsches-el...th-the-gas-one

"Porsche has just announced upgrades to its Zuffenhausen production plant that officially confirm the electric 718 will be built on the same production line as the combustion version. This news comes a little over a month after it was confirmed the current combustion 718 and the future electric one would have some overlap so as to not alienate customers as the company transitions the nameplate."

If the ev 718 comes out in 2025 and they plan on selling ICE 718 along side, that means they will produce 4rs and SRS until at least 2026!!

They'll be selling ICE well beyond 2050. Net Zero is a pipe dream and a scam and EV's are a flop. The market has spoken.

No one sees any significance to the (reported) SRS build numbers dropping precipitously after May / June?

Just one data point, but our store sees no allocations of any kind beyond May of 2024 (with the exception of one August S/T allocation)...

(my point being that contrary to what I've seen others post here, every store does not know their full 2024 allocation schedule already...)

Probably be beneficial if we used Model Year (MY) and Calendar Year (CY) in the discussion.

My local OPC told me that they received all of their MY24 allocations and they were told what to expect in MY25.

When will the MY transition occur? Hard to say if before/after traditional August Holiday.

My SA also said the remaining projected MY25 allocations will be the end of the Spyder RS. Take that last part as very speculative…as we routinely see false projections on here.

Expect more (MY25) allocations in about 6 months.

Your Sales Manager and Dealer Principle know what they are getting for the full 2024 calendar year inclusive of 2024 and 2025 model years. They all might not be buildable yet, but they know the quantity for each model year up to December 2024 production.

I've heard some larger stores do receive annual forecasts (which can change). All our regional rep sends us is a quarterly allocation report (which I'm CC'd on) showing what we've actually earned based on our store's performance...

Edit: If we are exclusively talking about GT allocations, then yes, the Nov drop covers the following calendar year... However, earlier this year (April) we received an unexpected 3RS "pool car" allocation for a September build. So I suppose anything is possible...

Just another anecdotal data point... my SA told me they have 3 total SRS allocations for MY24, more than most dealers. They also happen to have the latest build dates (Aug '24, including mine) so any MY24 dealer allocations would have been given out by now. For MY24, at least, it will have a very low SRS production number.

They have said since this car was just a rumor that there would be very limited numbers of these made. They might have changed their minds, but personally, I think the number of special editions they are floating is nuts, and if I were them, I would trim model count down to reduce variant costs.

Time will tell. I didn't want to bet on these being available to order for a long time, so I jumped early. Plus I'll get my car a year ahead of when I might have otherwise. Time is precious, and becoming increasingly so.

If anything they will increase the allocations and builds for NA since they can't sell them to the EU market anymore after July 2024. They will then focus on NA and that's when you'll see the majority of the allocations being available. And since they retooled to sell ice along side ev we'll see these built well into 2026.

The ability of people to draw iron clad conclusions based on a few bits of information is always impressive.

To be fair, when was the last time Porsche said no to money?
