Don't think that one black Spyder represents the market. My local dealer sold a '21 GT Silver for 8k over just a month or two ago.

 

I wouldn't buy a Spyder/GT4 even at $50k if it didn't have the specs that I wanted (PCCB, Buckets, 6 Speed, PTS). To me, it's not about saving money, it's about getting what you want and I feel there are others who probably feel this same way.

 

Yes... the only problem with that theory is that later, when you sell the car, you are selling what you wanted, and not necessarily what the buyer wants. But in 7 days we'll know. Maybe we will all be surprised.

 

agree completely. That’s why I got my own allocation. But allocations are now gone for Spyders. Therefore regardless of price, I wouldn’t buy a used Spyder.

 

Bro, I sold a car on bat, there is no real contract, you definitely would not know they can make up the difference. It would be like reading the apple terms on an update lol.

I actually think all GT cars are overvauled, but 0% shot this guy sells the car and just gets banned from bat. It would have been so easy for me to do that when I sold on bat if I didn't like the price.

He knows he can just go trade it in for 115-120k somewhere, so he'll just ghost bat and get banned and move on.

I’d jump on that deal, turn around and sell the car for market value to pay for a new allocation or simply keep it as a track car lol!

 

In order to be unaware that they can make up the difference by waiving part of their $5000 fee you would need to really not be paying attention. It's pretty widely known on BAT now. And I'm sure it's in the terms and conditions.

And what about the buyer? BAT has his buyer's premium. Are they gonna refund him after this ghosting you talk about?

Yeah I'd make a real stink if a seller ghosted me AFTER me paying 5% to BaT. I'm sure that's an easy credit card dispute so the smart thing for BaT to do is just refund the fee.

I thought so as well. Would I have specd it slightly different? Sure. But I say that about 90% of the builds I see.
