I wouldn't mind the color combo in that price; in fact that was very similar to one I wanted before I got mine. Unfortunately the dealer was still asking 20 over (negotiated to 10) when I got mine for nearly MSRP

Curious is anyone has insight around why this CPO Spyder has been listed for so long: WP0CC2A83LS240270

Red isn't a very popular color, the mileage is higher than others out there, it has a plastic dash. The ceramic brakes might discourage someone that wants to track it a lot, but the plastic dash may discourage those looking for a nice weekend car?

Yeah those willing to pay 100k+ for a car especially a Spyder expect a leather dash. There's definitely less buyers out there if your car has a plastic dash in the 100k+ realm.

It's basically $15K over original MSRP; of course with recent price increases the margin is less to current MSRP.

Mileage is high compared to most for sale.

Plastic dash is a disappointment; this also results in plastic door spears - hate that look.

Manual A/C...probably not a deal killer, but why?

Natural barrier when these are priced at $130K and above.

Lots of reasons to keep looking...

Rcff33 said it, it's a canyon carver with the wrong options, or a track car with the wrong options. Plastic dash and lacking some of the other common options on pccbs and lwbs is such a weird combo.

the red dash trims I bet are the main turn off, that would be way more polarizing than a rubber dash IMO........

all about the right options for the right buyer.

this one had no problem selling at ~$18k over MSRP.

Oh boy! This is quite the smorgasbord of poor decisions!! Almost every pic has me shaking my head. Who would spring for the PCCB's and the red chrono clock and then skimp on the climate controls and the plastic dash?? I don't like the painted interior trim OR the painted roll hoops here. Base headlights... ugh... I won't continue. This looks like a dealer spec'd car that nobody asked for.

As someone who is in the market for a Spyder (fun weekend car), this about nailed it. I just scroll right on by as I keep looking every other day to see what's available.

Ya that would be my guess - dealer spec or one of the PCNA demos (those always have weird specs)

Plastic interior is definitely a deal break for many - only 5.7% of buyers didn't pay for the upgraded leather interior.

I almost didn't order mine with the leather dash. I'm very glad I did. Tho my motivation for eventually doing it was because I wanted the extra Racetex on the lower dash, door cards, etc. At the time, I didn't care that the top of the dash was leather vs. rubber - I just wanted the Racetex.

Now that I have it... I agree, the leather is a must. The rubber just looks so cheap. I love it enough that the extended leather was a "must" when I ordered my Macan.

I have standard rubber dash, much prefer it to the leather dash I had in my 981. Much more durable, no worries about upkeep, leather cracking etc.

While I much prefer the leather dash for obvious reason, I have seen several 981 cars with leather that has already begun separating from the dash structure and looking quite shabby. The C8s are having the issue much earlier. Seems like the glue just ain't what it used to be.
