718 GTS - 6MT
Ice grey with GTS interior (red stitching)
Wheel and gear in leather
18 way seats
Premium package
Minor high gloss black exterior options
This was an inbound dealer order - if I were to custom build the only things I would probably change would be debadging the doors (which I assume I can have the PPF installer do) and change the rear model designation to just ‘718’.
When playing with the configurator I quickly learned how fast options add to the price - I specifically wanted a GTS 4.0 without entering GT4 price territory.
Good luck with whatever you decide!
Awesome! This is a lovely build and everything you need. Curious to see more ice grey, haven't seen many pictures let alone in person of this.
I have a dealer offering me a 718 GTS with a 3/3 ETA for a $7k ADM.
That seems pretty reasonable in today's market. What does everyone else think?
Having now called a lot of places, I wouldn't pay an ADM on an already built GTS when there are MSRP and changeable (but quickly locking) slots out there if you work hard enough. Haven't found the same for GT4, though. YMMV
Seems like 1-2 year old 718 GT4s, including CPO, are starting to appear occasionally within a few thousand dollars of original MSRP (with low miles). Has me reconsidering my T allocation at MSRP. It's not obvious to me why some are so much closer to MSRP than others though. I'd like to think it's only that some are not willing to come down to the softening market prices yet because of their cost basis in the car. I do wonder if prices are going to turn the other way in a couple months when spring comes, or whether the tide will further recede. Should be interesting.
I would think those that have the means to buy at "Over market" also have the means to sell it at or below market when they find the next car. the cost / tax of having the new toy for some
Perhaps, but I'm not sure this is a reasonable assumption. Are there really that many people made of money? If it's NBD to brush off $10k or so here and there, then it shouldn't be a big deal to just hold on to it then, right? I'm sure there are outliers but I'd imagine they'd still throw out tremendous asking prices because they aren't in a hurry to sell.

I'm waffling only because I'm not positive about the color. I don't dislike it, I just haven't seen it in person. The rest of the build looks pretty good to me—anything major missing?
I think I'd go hard in with an MSRP offer and see if you get a callback. Maybe even worth a small premium (less than $5k) for instant gratification. It's a good build, but I do agree that the navigation makes it effectively a $10K ADM because no one wants or needs it and it's stupid expensive for little to no value.
But otherwise it's a solid build on a brand new car that you'll get in a little over a month? Sure the market may be softening but only on 2-3 year old cars with decent amounts of miles on them. Allocations are not a given at this stage, if the money isn't that big a deal then it may be worth it. If you plan to keep the car for any length of time you'll likely forget about the slight premium you paid to avoid the painful waiting process- and you'd only even enter the waiting process assuming you are indeed granted an allocation.
And Ice Grey Metallic, to me, is an amazing color. It's probably very similar to Hockenheim Silver on the M2 Competition/CS, but haven't seen them side by side to compare. Very close to white but with a pearlescent effect that IMO is better than Carrara White, and will likely not be very common which to some could be another bonus. I would not back away from this car for the color.

Jack Daniels Porsche in Upper Saddle River, NJ has a 2021 GT4 with 14,445 miles, CPO, PDK for sale for $115,593. PDK, Gentian Blue, I think, Satin Aurum wheels, Sport Chrono, no buckets.
