Agree there. I think for the next couple months things will keep softening. Likely get some lower trade points but the reality is the allocations are gone and the NA V6 isn’t coming back for the Cayman..
Does anyone actually have a source for the claim that GTS allocations are gone for MY23 and that there won’t be production for MY24? Because all the automotive magazines have articles about the MY24 vehicle and I’ve seen no indication so far that either statement is true.
I’m looking actively for an allocation, but everything I’ve heard—from dealers—is that additional allocations will be available in Q2 for Q3 delivery.
also the guy saying allocations are gone for the “NA V6” doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in the source given it’s a flat 6…

The flat 6 comment was an honest typo mistake.. While there is no official source.. every dealer you talk to is out of allocations for new 718 GT4s or Spyder's.. Obviously nothing is confirmed but I think at the end of the day it comes down to this.. if you want a car and have the means to get one, there are a lot of good CPO options. If your own spec and newer MY is important enough to risk not getting one then wait it out. It's no secret the Cayman is going all electric, the timeline is less certain but Porsche has been very vocal about that..
Prices will go up and down but even if you can get an allocation now there is no guarantee production will continue into 2024 when that car would be built..
explicitly references MY2024, and Porsche typically switches to the next calendar year in September, which strongly suggests to me production of the base, S, and likely GTS will continue through September.
the 4.0 flat 6 has emissions certificates through 2026 IIRC
