Canadian MSRPs tend to be lower than US MSRPs on some cars for some reason. Not sure on the 718 but on quite a few other performance cars that is the case, at least that is what I learned from watching Throttle House where they always list the Canadian and the US MSRPs.
Since Porsches seem to trade at a number relative to their MSRP, that may be a factor.

That seemingly makes no sense at all. Cars are exactly the same after you swap the gauges, warranty carries over, etc. Suppose some people may not want to buy them for some odd reason, but I’m happy I bought mine from our neighbors to the north!

Historically Canadian cars located in the US have sold at a discount relative to US cars. If you look at the history of pricing on BaT/C&B/PCAR, etc. for completed transactions, this is generally true. I'm not sure WHY given that they're made to the same standards regardless of where it was originally imported.
Top is CAD, bottom is USD.

The difference in MRSP is even greater in favor of Canadians. The $218,122 Cdn includes ~$20000 in added luxury tax which still has to be paid but is not part of Porsche's MRSP. MRSP in Canada is $192,600 which is ~$139,500 US @todays exchange. I've always wondered why we Canadians have received discounts for basically the same vehicle. I believe most, if not all, are required to sign agreements to not immediately sell our vehicles into the US.

I don't think you can draw any conclusions on Porsche's pricing strategy by using currency alone.

Was sent a PTS 718 GT4 with an amazing spec(146k MSRP) that has buckets, pccbs, pdls, pdk and on top of that has a Deman 4.5l engine in it. Miles are 16k. If anyone's interested PM me and I'll make the intro.

Australia is a very different market with different brand positioning and logistics. I would expect Australia, South Africa, and Brazil to be much different markets than the US and Canada.

The fact the reserve wasnt met tells me this was one of those super high ADM cars and the seller would lose too much selling it at a bit under MSRP. I also feel like the GT4RS is depreciating (in peoples minds) at a quicker rate than the standard GT4/Spyder. And i wonder if it's because the price difference is so massive. While the GT4RS is much more of a car than the GT4, the benefit of the GT4 was that it was at minimum 100k less than a GT3 even with ADMs, the GT4RS was hitting GT3 Prices easily. But i also could be totally wrong, but the final bid price seems to track with what i've been seeing.

What’s wrong with the build, objectively?
