So interesting how 718 Spyder looks more aggressive and vicious due to sharper lines compared to the rounder/softer lines of 981 Spyder despite sharing the same chassis.

It’s a different chassis. 718 Spyder shares the GT chassis with 718 GT4…wasn’t the case in the 981 series.

That 981 PTS Spyder is very rare, only 20ish PTS 981 Spyders were produced. I actually was offered that car for 125k or 130k(I forget) during the "peak" covid pricing last year but decided to pass and buy a 718 Spyder instead(which I've since sold).

I think anyone who buys that car and pays 115k+ on it needs to keep the miles low because once it hits 10k+ miles it'll go down to 100k or less.

Also, just personally, I am not the biggest fan of the 981 rear lights or silver line. Just me.

Highly surprised the Silver GT4 with PCCB and buckets hasn't sold for MSRP with 5k miles. Seems like a heck of a deal.

Think we've had this discussion before... Talking about the body in white, skeleton of the car which is the same as far as I know.

The market’s moved down and most sellers haven’t figured that out yet. One scan of the delusional asking prices that persist in the Marketplace, and how long cars are sitting, make that abundantly clear. The significant decline in what dealers are now paying to buy cars is the canary in the coal mine.

Oh, ok…just commenting on your remarks that said “chassis”.

I don’t know what the “skeleton of the car” is, but can’t imagine they’re the same as major chassis subframes are different.

Think also the base 718 was billed as a clean sheet design that only retained the trunk and hood; IIRC.

THIS. Something in the took of the 981's rear completely ruins the car for me.

I do like the look of the 981 Spyder tail lights and how the clear center section continues into the spoiler.

That 000 Spyder just went for $181K on BAT plus fees. Nice buy for someone.
