Makes me wonder why. Is there some irritating rattle in the dash that no dealer has been able to fix? Also, Hawaii seems to we the absolute worst state (besides maybe Alaska) to own a GT4 in. Rough roads and no good driving roads/tracks. At least with a Boxter you can drop the top.

The shipping out of state is actually weirdly cheap. The taxes/registration are probably cheaper in VA too unless he registered in Hawaii. Coming into the state however is unreasonably expensive.

Most roads here are terrible, but the H3 highway is absolutlely incredible in my GT4. You generally don't want a convertible in Hawaii (at least on Oahu) because the rain is too unpredictable. I sold my Boxster after about 6 months here because I would be driving top down because the sun was out only to be poured on just a mile over. The weather is different all over the island because of the way the clouds form around the mountains.
I was in Hawaii back in 1964 and part of 1965 with the 25th Division, 3/4 Cav with Headquarters Troop at Schofield Barracks.
We were all sent to Cu-Chi, Vietnam some time in 1965.
I recall going with some other guys to a drag-strip which I surprised there was one.
Also, I was the driver for the 2nd LT. and as I recall the roads had very low speed limits.
And the price of gas was Really-really high compared to Frankfort, Kentucky where I was from.
Speaking of rain ...............
You could be standing on one side of the street and No-Rain but on the other side it was Pouring, strange.

So I've jumped in an probably overpaid for a 2022 shark blue spyder with 2K. They asked 140k but I paid 137.5. I almost bought Vincentt's (sorry but what a super nice guy) but I just wan't ready to jump plus newer ones with considerably less miles were cheaper although no cool exhaust. I watched and test drove twice a 2021 in guards red with 10.K that started at 135K but dropped to 129K where I was almost going to but someone got to it first. A 2023 in yellow started at 139K and got sold when dropped to 133K. Then there's this one I've been watching. It started at 139K. https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...=myATCsavedcar. Don't know if that tells anything about the spyder market but it seems if you have decent color you'll get mid 130s. If silver or grey maybe just 130. Or not! Also this just popped up on cars and bids and as I said in the comment there, FIGURES! https://carsandbids.com/auctions/rk4...boxster-spyder
