Is there a way to code out Sirius / XM. My car loves to blast the infomercial everytime I start the car...

Default Comfort Access Coding

Hi there and thanks to @718socal for his amazing contributions.

I was given a dumb key for comfort access… later to learn that the 991.2 GT3 RS doesnt come with this feature.

Provided I get the hardware, is there a way to enable lt with Piwis?

You need to look at PETKA and the wiring diagram. Most importantly, you will need the wiring harness for the sensors. There are at least 5 sensors for the 9X1. If you just want keyless entry and drive, my guess is that you need one sensor for each door handle and one for the ignition. There are individual settings for each sensors in PIWIS. For the GT cars, there is no wiring for Frunk and Trunk sensors so no gesture control.

If your subscription expired, you will get a message for the Satellite Radio (XM) in PIWIS. You can remove it in PIWIS and that will remove it from the PCM menu.

Thanks for your inputs! Certainly, according to the user manual, when a 991.1 or 991.2 come with keyless entry they have sensors in:

Frunk - Luggage compartment antenna
Center Console (bellow the ashtray)
Seat-well cross member
Rear left wheel housing
Rear right wheel housing.

the part number of the antenna is 7PP962132 which is a common part across the Porsche lineup.

According to the wiring diagram I would need 2 wires for each antenna.... I am digging into the wiring diagram to see where it connects....

Any idea on which module I must code? I think I will have sorted out the "hardware" part in the next days... clueless on the software parte.... having a dummy key working on my GT3RS would be dope!

Thanks againnn!!

A quick update (To anyone who can help and/or plans to try it)...

I digged into Piwis Wiring Diagrams. There are 5 wires that come out for + and other 5 for - from the BCM (front) to the antennas.

Since my GT3RS doesnt come with kessy... keyless entry... then I had to look at the wiring diagram of the 991.2 Carrera. There are 2 BCMs. Piwis says both terminals for each 5 antennas go to the front (under dash, just above the left driver fuse panel).

The thing is that it doesnt specify to which connector it just says the terminals. Any thoughts? I was looking at BCMs on sale in ebay and no clue how to find the proper place to make my wiring.

Is your splash screen not matching your car? What does it look like on PCM 3.1?

Sorry for cross posting but it seems like this thread might be a good place to ask - I have an issue where the interior lights in my 718 haven't been coming on automatically when opening the doors. I'm sure they used to, and they do in low light conditions like the evening, but not all the time like i understand they should do. Battery voltage is good.

A friend suggested checking this in the menu, which is in the multi function display - according to the manual the path should be vehicle > settings > light and visibility > interior lights > when opening door, but for some reason I don't have the option for 'when opening door' - only the fade out settings.

Does anyone know if there's a setting in PIWIS for this which could be activated? It's pretty weird it's not there and I'm wondering if it's maybe been accidentally turned off when other things have been coded in.

Which module did you code? Interior light is also controlled by the light switch by the UGDO.

Yeah that switch is not activated. They still come on in the evening and low light, just not all the time.

Nothing that should have affected the lights was coded, android auto has been activated as well as a factory reverse camera we installed. Feels a bit silly chasing this as a a problem but it really annoys me when things don't work as they should.

Thanks again to the artist formerly known as 718socal for getting me coded so the car remembers to leave auto stop start and cylinder deactivation off. Have a couple new tricks with the fob and the windows now too. Good quality of life improvement. Just have to wash this thing now.
