The GT3 starts at $161K. A lot of people seem to think that the GT4 RS base will be around $130K. So around $30K delta.

Also interesting will be the specifications of the GT4 RS such as horsepower and weight. I think it needs to have at least 450 horsepower or people will be disappointed.

Well with all the banter about GT3 power and RPM range anything could be possible for a price, and this in and of itself worries me... with those things it would likely be too expensive (for me).

Although I would be surprised if that engine made it into even a PDK GT4 RS variant as it too would have to be reworked for accessories, mounting orientation and coolant flow to name a few things. I figure they will use the 9A2 Evo 4.0l with some higher RPM parts to raise the redline give something like 460-475HP at 8600 RPM or so without really increasing the torque all that much... fun to theorize while we wait for any official announcement for either car.

This will be a junior RS car so I doubt it will get a unique engine. If I had to guess it will get a mildly modified 4L with a intake/exhaust mods and tune giving it the 450 like you said. Can't let it near the GT3

This is my dilemma as well. Need to know GT4 RS base price and specifications to know if it is worth it or if a GT3 makes more sense value wise. Of course, both will be hard to get an allocation for.

Yeah right. It will most likely have the same engine as the GT4 with a tune. Similar to what BMW did with the M2 CS versus the M2 Competition.

On the transmission... Unless the GT4/Spyder RS gets a new transmission that is adopted beyond the 982.1... I mean if we are maxed out torque wise now won't that be a continued problem into the future when it all goes Hybrid for the next generation?

But unfortunately most of them will wind up in VIP garages if this car actually materializes.

I'm not assuming anything, I would love for more variants to be available for everyone to enjoy.

The problem is not the speculation nor the discussion.

I simply do not appreciate people who disregard forum practices and CBF otherwise.
