That's much longer than most cars I've seen. They tend to take a week to build from what I've seen. Maybe they were awaiting parts, like power seats with chips that were delayed.
Yea, that was what I was thinking. Maybe due to chip shortage. Crazy times for sure.
My GT4 actually arrived in Port of Emdem on 7/19/2021. Its scheduled to leave on 8/6/2021. The wait continues...hahaha
SA also sent me a screen shot of the tracking and I just noticed that my car entered body shop (V260 CP 0.0) on 6/17/21 and then exited body shop to completion (V270 CP 7.8; V300 CP 8.0) 7/13/21.
That seems to be a really long time for the car to be in production. Hopefully everything is there...haha
Probably the car had to be pulled out for some type of rework process. I wouldn’t worry about it though. Rework at their paint shop will be nearly flawless compared to the touch ups dealers do on their lots.

I wouldn't jump to that more-worrisome conclusion! It could have easily been held due a semiconductor-related stall... especially if he spec'ed 18 way seats. Or maybe something due to retooling efforts for 2022 setup. My car entered the body shop today as a 2022.

I hope it wasn't that, but I am sure they will do a good job either way. I spec'ed it with carbon buckets, so hoping it was some retooling in the production line.

Yes, could be, but I don't consider it worrisome or negative at all. It's all part of normal production and QC procedures are in place to catch things before they leave the factory. My friend does dent work at dealerships and the stuff he sees going on.. now that's worrisome!
My '22 BGTS finished production last week V300 (8 days ago) and is now waiting for a boat to San Diego. My SA hasn't been very forthcoming with the timeline since then (just that he'll let me know when it does get on a boat).
