Just read through the whole thread. Thought i would chime in and say hi. I have my Shark Blue GT4 arriving next week in UK. Is currently at the port of Grimsby awaiting dealer transfer. Told it should be next Fri. Been a long wait but can't wait to drive it. Nice to join other 718 owners. i'm swapping out of 992.

I'm sorry to hear about your build still being held up Dan, that's unfortunate. I guess it will be that much better when you do get it. Hang in there buddy!

So I reached out to Porsche NA. At first, they claimed it was only available for 911 and Taycan buyers but after I insisted, she was able to see that the tracking feature could be available for 718 buyers. They were able to find my order in the system but could not actually add it to my profile. They then reached out to my dealership while I was on hold. The conclusion was that once the vehicle goes into production, I would receive a link at that point to connect it to my account and start the tracking. I am not sure if this information is correct as I thought I read some other users received a link very shortly after their order was placed. Perhaps when the build is frozen is also another point where the links get generated? I placed my order end of July but my freeze date is early October.

For those of us with cars on the Siem Cicero, it is currently on schedule to arrive in Baltimore at 8pm EDT tomorrow. Fortunately there are no storms in a position to interfere with that.
Tropical storm Peter is not expected to get anywhere close to the US coast as it swings north so once Baltimore is done it should be good sailing southward for its remaining stops, including Houston!

I'm out! After four weeks in production (V260), my SA called this morning to let me know my car is on its way to Emden. It's going to Jacksonville, but their system doesn't currently show which ship will carry it. I should have it in time for my birthday the first week of November... if it is not held up for TPMS or something else at port.
Woohoo.
Woohoo.

I had high hopes that yours would be right behind your friend's car that showed up a couple of weeks ago .
Who would ever have expected the Porsche buying experience to turn into such a mess? If they had only taken proactive measures to get good information out to everyone waiting for various things I think their reputation would have been kept more intact. Having to beg and plead little tidbits of information through SAs who are also struggling to get any good information just seems so wrong.

It just happens that I am in Orlando on business the first week of November. I would love to break it in on a drive back to Delaware!

I wonder if the TPMS shortage is just pure luck. If they have sensors in stock that day, your car gets them. If not, not.
