Nice, but look it over well when it is dry since being wet can hide scratches, etc., which is why I never pick up a car when it is raining - they should have left it inside for you to inspect.

Has TYD updated to show your car is at the port yet? Mine still says that my car is on the Glovis Courage, but it has since left the Benicia Port. Not sure how long it takes to update with the latest location, but my delivery date is still showing January 20th.

Anyone know how long it takes before you can use TYD? I have a commission number with my name on it for an April build allocation (Have had this since Monday 1/9). I called Porsche NA and they told me my dealership needs to help me with it. I talked to my SA and he said the system has been having issues. I've tried logging in and I keep getting a spinning loading sign (Tried on multiple browsers). Any info helps!

"The system has been having issues." If that isn't the understatement of the year. When hasn't it had issues.

it doesn’t happen instantaneously and it varies. And you may or may not get an email from Porsche welcoming you! And either way it’s not accurate. It’s fun to track progress but it’s unreliable.

Well here I am sitting at my desk at work and I can barely keep focused on what I am doing because I'm flying down to LA tonight and picking up my car tomorrow morning. My god the suspense and excitement is unbearable. Its been a long 8 months which at the same time has felt like has gone by way too quickly. I don't think I've ever actively waited for something this long before. Sure there have been things that ive wanted that haven't come out for a few years, but this is different as its such a big jump for me financially as well as it being one of my dream cars.

8 months and in 1 day I'm out of the waiting room. Seems surreal. I never thought my first Porsche would be a GT4. Hell if you asked me 5 years ago what car I would buy-in 5 years, I probably would have talked about the new GR86 or have said the rumored (at the time) GR Corolla. If you had told me I'd be buying my dream car I would have laughed at you.

1 more day....

I cannot wait. Yeah its a good thing I'm flying down tonight. I was originally thinking about flying down early the same day but ultimately decided against it as I'd be driving the car back up the same day and didn't want to be exhausted.

I flew down the night before and did the hotel thing. My session was the morning session, then I drove the car to Costa Mesa and left it with Moe at Glistening Perfection for the paint correction, ceramic, and ppf. Still playing with the idea of driving her home when done vs having her transported. Crazy weather that we are dealing with on this side of the country right now. Are you just going to hit I5 all the way home?

Finally out of production and on my way to Emden.
At this time, I'd be okay with the GT4 getting loaded quickly and arriving early Feb, or being delayed with shipment in March. Just knowing there was nothing that held up my build at the factory was all I cared about.

Allocation received 11/25/22
Freeze Point 11/29/22

Still no production photos....

Congrats to those with deliveries this week!

Yeah thinking doing that and then cutting across to 101. Really depends on the weather. Supposed to be clear in LA tomorrow but with rain in NorCal so I'm hoping its just the standard showers we've been seeing and not the torrential winds and rain that they keep predicting. I do also have the option of staying with my Sister and Brother in Law for an extra day depending on what the weather report says

Create your Porsche ID
Call the Atlanta office to provide them with your ID, and Commission # - you should get an email within 24-48 hours.

When I called, I told the CSR that my SA was on vacation, and I didn't feel as if he applied my email "Porsche ID" to my order. She took my info, passed it along and viola, I was in the waiting room hitting refresh on TYD every chance I had!

ps... dont take no for an answer when calling PCNA.. it takes them two seconds.
