So that was the bad news. The good news is that even though my car's "on sale" date is 10 September, he says that his experience is that this is almost always the worst case. It came off the Ro-Ro 12 days ago. Meanwhile, it will be PDI'd at Halifax Autoport and be sipping Moosehead beer until it gets put on a truck sometime this month.

P.S. For those who want "proof" of the chip shortage, he showed me a hockey-sock fully of cars (Canada, eh!) sitting on the lot unsellable until the TPMS is installed, and a few with manual steering columns that are sellable but will have to be returned for retrofit of the motors, etc. when the memory-function chips finally arrive.
My car is one of those with manual steering wheel to be retrofitted later. All in all happy to get the car now rather than have to wait longer. FWP. ETA at dealer August 8 for my MY2021 BGTS.

Absolutely, that would not hold me up from taking delivery. It’s great that Porsche is making serious effort to navigate through their supply chain issues.

I really hope I get this option. If so, mine will -not- get retrofitted later.

When is yours due again? You might get your wish if it’s in the near future.

Heh, enjoy the tpms and steering column chip shortages...our local P dealer said that one time they had a red seat and a black seat in the same car...and they would ship the proper red seat to them when they were back in stock of that color seat. The owner opted to leave the car the dealership in the meantime and not take delivery. There's some funky things going on for sure! I heard it will get even worse towards the end of the year and Porsche has been pretty lucky so far with how much they were able to create. Hopefully we have some resolutions or more chip inventory for those of us that are fall builds. Probably good timing with the August shutdown so they can restock some.

Best of luck to all who are in between July/Sept builds, and those of us entering in on the 3rd of Sept like myself!

Yeah, mine has been stuck in production for the August break... I assume they will have all the parts because of the extra month. I should say Hope not Assume probably.

My '22 Spyder is your CGTS's shipmate - also got the word that delivery date has slipped from 10 Sep to 01 Oct. We'll see what happens once the ship arrives in Baltimore. Maybe, with a little luck, the EPA certifications will get out ahead of that....

First of all, super excited to be joining you all. First Porsche. Ordered a shark blue BGTS 4.0 (MY22) with a 6 speed manual.

My dealer sent me this:

Does this mean I'll probably get the car mid-September? Or is there a chance of delay cause of EPA certification?

You need to see the dates at the bottom; believe Dealer Inventory (on sale) is sometime in Oct for all MY22

I can't agree more! I want them to be well rested...I'm hoping they aren't hung over or still drunk from partying for the past month haha.

I saw in another thread that bucket seats are not available in the US market, is that only for new orders or are any of you folks affected or potentially affected by that?
