Default Ship tracking

I didn't see this in the thread, but you can use this link Ship Tracking to track the carrier that your car is on.

Can someone please confirm that this ship is heading to Emden, due to arrive on 12/1 or 12/2 (depending on time zone), AND that this ship will be heading to Davisville, RI? It's the second question that I need help with.

https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels...MMSI-636018304
https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais...SIEM_ARISTOTLE

Someone posted this berthing schedule for Davisville but it doesn't show this shop arriving. It does show a similar named ship, Siem Cicero, arriving 12/15. But Siem Cicero is in Houston now. (https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels...MMSI-636017539)

So did someone get the wrong ship name or is this schedule just wrong?

I saw the updated shipping schedule in below thread.
It looks like Siem Aristotle will not dock in Davisville.

How does one read that schedule? Does this mean that the next ship to RI is the Felicity Ace arriving in Davisville on Dec 22?

There are other carriers that Porsche uses such as the Mediterranean named vessels.

Your SA can tell you the Vessel once loaded and you can then track via Marinetraffic or similar.

I believe so.
I am in Canada. Looks like Siem Aristotle and Felicity Ace will dock in Halifax, however, I am not able to see neither ships on Port of Halifax vessel forecast. I am confused too.

Well, my GT4 made it to Houston today, and I have the webcam shot to prove it! Hopefully won't be long now... some port worker is seeing how hard he can launch my car off the boat ramp as I type this.

That is awesome. I have lived and utilized these waters my entire life. When my ship was coming in I was going to go out in my boat and escort it in and get pictures.....but of course it came in while I was working. Ah well. Good luck in getting your car ASAP!!!

Now that would be next level! I sent the photo to my sales advisor just to make sure he knows for sure that I'm crazy I've also asked if I can be the one to take off the stickers and clean the car - I'd prefer not to have anyone touch my paint. The last time I ordered a car it came with some dealer-installed water spots and scratches I wasn't psyched about.

But really, I can't wait to make that first shift from 1st to 2nd!

I'm debating letting the dealer prep it. One would think that these cars are treated better than Honda's, no?

In a lot of cases, I don't think so. They don't deliberately abuse them, but when there's residue left over from the stickers, there's a difference between using proper solvents and minimizing rubbing vs just scrubbing it off with a sponge and soap, then leaving the water to dry (and spot) on the paint. For me, it's about the experience as much as anything else. I'd love to have the excitement of "unboxing" it! We'll see. The dealer is reluctant because if there's any damage or issue they need to correct, they need to see it with their own eyes.

My sales advisor claims they had a 911 Turbo come in with a bullet hole under the sticker! But it seems to me, that would require a factory worker to shoot the car before they applied the stickers!!!

Yes, have the dealer prep it for your showroom delivery. While it's fun to have a showroom reveal....the main reason is to go over every inch of the car for any post production damage. One of my panels had a slight crease, they took care of it before delivery.

Your 718 will be fine with the dealer....I imagine they're "touching" some pretty high-end cars on occasion.

Yea, I tend to agree. After all, I may be OCD-like, but I'm not Obsessed Garage OCD level!

Bullet hole under the tape? Must have been some disgruntled employee going postal on the cars!
