After 8 months, I am back in the waiting room for a '22 Boxster GTS. Here is my build, but not sure about the Burmester. The Bose in my '17 991.2 was awful but in the 992 it was decent. I wonder if they upgraded the Bose since 2017. I rarely turn the system on, but when I do, it should be good listening.
My build is scheduled for the fourth week of July. Here's to hoping it builds one week sooner to avoid the August shut-down.

The '20 GT4 I rented on Turo this past weekend had Bose. It was still as awful as I remember the Bose sounding in the 9x1 cars (note I don't think the Bose sounds TERRIBLE when it's in the Macan or Cayenne... but the sporty cars, its really bad.)
I was on the fence with my Spyder build about the Burm. In the end, I left it off - and just ordered the car with the regular old Sound Package Plus. I'll be buying a speaker and amp kit from Musicar NW - they make a complete, drop-in setup for the SPP cars for something like $4,500 that'll sound better than the Burm. If you're at all handy (I am) it's DIY'able with some patience for removing the door panels to swap in the new speakers.

However, with the 718 platform, especially the GT4/Spyder, as long as you can crank up the volume and not have it all distorted and you can get it loud enough to overwhelm the intake and exhaust sounds, that is enough. The cabin is too loud for any critical listening or to get any high end listening done.

Also, I learned that vented seats provide more comfort in warm weather, although the Sport Tex non-vented seats had more cushioning. In hot weather, Sport Tex is warm and think that alcantara must be similar. Leather is better for re-positioning yourself while driving long distance, and 14-ways provide more seat space to move around.
I am surprised not to see snarky comments about my soft build. PASM and 14-ways, lol. I prefer a bit more compliant ride and ground clearance on Northeast roads from the PASM and the additional .39 inches. PASM on S+ mode on my 992 was just fine for spirited driving. I have built this for sporty country drives and no tracking.

I’m also someone who has 5,000 miles in the 18 way seats but decided to spec 14 ways in my new GTS 4.0. I’m 6’0, 215 pounds with big legs. The 18 ways always felt too tight with the side bolsters, no matter how wide I adjusted them.
Someone here once said you sit on the 14 way seats but sit in the 18 ways. The 18 ways only work if you fit. Really recommend trying each seat out at length before you buy. I do think 18 ways adds to the sporty nature and feel of the car but for a non track driver like me comfort is just more important.

My delivery date is bouncing all over the place. On 4/17, it was 8/27. On 5/1, it got pulled IN, to 7/30. Today, it is pushed back out to 9/10. All the while, my lock date has remained at 5/26. Last chance to go PG, but I think I will stay SB despite the fact that this will be a common color for MY22.

I went V260 (Enter Production) near the beginning of this month (May), with Emden entry expected by now and expected dealer delivery (North America) in July. I don't have memory seats, so I figured I was safe from the chip shortage. Unfortunately I just learned that I won't exit production until August and my delivery has now been pushed to *September*. Seems like the longest time a car has ever sat on the production line. Anyone know what's going on?

Presumably a shutdown at the factory would be big enough news that it would get out.
