I originally flipping the coin between GTS 4.0 or GT4 as a replacement, I love the aggressive looks of GT4 but hate GT4 didn't come with memory seat which is kind of a must for me. However, the salesman discourage me for the GT4 since a very long waiting list. And he promise I can have the GTS 4.0 allocation of Jan 2021 build and car will arrive in March.

So I placed my GTS 4.0 order in 2020 Sept. Back in Jan, dealer told me my allocation is delayed and pushed to a March build and then few weeks later, I was told another delay again and will pushed to May build. I told him, I am really upset and is thinking of talking to another dealer. Then a few days later he called me that they have a May GT4 allocation available so I hop on it.

During end of March, Porsche updated their 2022 configurator and then suddenly memory seat being included for the 18 way option. So I called my salesman and asked for confirmation and also email to Porsche Canada. Both told me it is true. So I made a very tough decision to give up the 2021 allocation and move to 2022 allocation and will be a Jan 2022 build. When I was so exciting then found out that "memory seat" option on GT4 sounds like a mistake for Canadian market. Everywhere in the world didn't have this option so very unlikely Porsche only offer this to Canadian market. So seems like I made a big mistake now! Since my invoice did printed memory seat is included so once my car arrive next spring, I will bug them as much as I can to compensate my extra wait that caused by their misleading info.

Anyway after my long rant, this is my build

Unfortunately my build got delayed to July/August and MY has been changed to 2022. (Previously my build date was early June)

Reason: Semiconductor shortage.

At least maybe I can switch the color to shark blue now...

Damn that's a bummer. Do you know what the specific shortage is? It sounds like the 18 way seats are a killer at the moment.

That is such a bummer. I was so worried that my late May 2021 build was going to be delayed, but in actual fact it entered the factory some 9 days early. Perhaps, and I just thought of this, this is from the chip shortage that is delaying Spyders with 18-ways seats, bumping mine with LWBS to the front. Argggh. My sympathies to you if this is the case. I never like prospering off others misfortunes. God speed to you and yours.

This chip shortage reminds me of the oil crisis of the 1970's where the price of oil skyrocketed due to "shortages". Is this chip shortage real or artificially created to jack up the prices?

P.s. I meant to ask, what is the time from Exiting factory compound Kornwestheim (V334) to Entry dealership (V900)? I googled your location and you're just under 1000 km away! Being on the west coast of Canada, mine has to be first shipped to Emden, then wait for loading etc.., then via ship to Halifax,Canada, then via enclosed trailer across the country for a July 30 Vancouver, BC dealership entry. This adds 2 months! You have a July (fingers crossed) build that could arrive around the same time as mine, still in time for some top-down summer weather! You could pick it up at the factory, no? Silver lining on this cloud?

My CGTS went V215 the other day. I haven’t learned much about that code, but it seems to be more internal than the widely known code sequence.

Vehicle Status V215 Blocked by PAG - not changeable

Hmmm... not sure what that is. It's not mentioned on Code Description page I have.

No, but I will inquire. I think the 18-ways is the best bet imho.

No problem man, glad you're getting yours early! It won't be all that bad if it arrives before September... maybe we can break it in this year at least

The car is supposed to leave the factory on 30.07, good point on picking up there - I'll see what can be done

I was thinking to switch to Shark Blue... but... am i crazy?

Long time lurker here, but I think it is time to make this official. Towards the end of last year, I started to realize that the end was near for Porsche NA engined cars, so I started looking for something that I would keep for a long time. Since I keep a dedicated 981 Cayman S track car, I have always been more of a Porsche mid-engine platform guy and love the perfect balance. With that being said, I got on the list and put a deposit down for a GT4 at my local dealer on February 18th. Surprisingly, I was number one on the list and I got a call last week about an available allocation. I went there yesterday to finalize the spec for a Racing Yellow GT4 and the estimated arrival date will be 8/27. The expected V250 date is 6/25, and V260 will be 7/9. In the meantime, I am looking forward to passing time on this forum and also getting my '20 M2 Comp for sale. Here are the specs.

I put money down last August. Got a message from my dealer early last week that they would have an allocation for me this week. Got an email today saying October 1 production, expected November delivery.

I gotta say, I wouldn't have the courage to go with the Racing Yellow tachometer/stopwatch with the Python Green interior trim. I love each option independently on its own, but am not a fan when combined. Of course, configurator pictures aren't the most reliable, so maybe it works better in person.

Put the money down and got an allocation for Spyder this Monday, not V200 just yet, but fingers crossed, hopefully soon!
