This car salesman line of BS about "better jump on gasoline powered cars" is laughable. As if everything is going to be electric next year. This type of nonsense is insulting and abusive. I'm V200 now with a lock on June 11. Build in July. Delivery late August. I was advised that delivery may be delayed slightly since I've opted for a PEC Atlanta delivery (I live in Atlanta).

Yesterday I walked into a Porsche dealership and asked if they had any GT4 allocations. I was informed of the obvious, that they do not and probably not anytime soon. As I am driving away, the dealer calls me and tells me, I won the Porsche lotto. A customer had changed his mind from a GT4 to a Spyder. Was back in that dealership in a flash and got my GT4 order in! July build, take delivery on 9/24.

I think the GTS configurator shows the wrong brakes in the picture. Its the same picture as the Boxster S. FWIW, the GTS has larger rotors and 6 pot front callipers.

white is Boxster S, blue is GTS 4.0
The specs indeed point to 350 / 330 for GTS and 330/299 for boxster S
One more issue I found is that the rear wheels are narrower with the Carrera S rims even though the specs list the same tire width.
Well, the upside is that I get bigger brakes than I thought, lol.

I come here every morning to pick up valuable breadcrumbs like this! I always thought the brakes on the GTS looked a little undersized on the configurator - especially after cross-shopping the GT4. So thanks for sharing this info thundabyr.
For the people here that are into math, the brakes in the GTS are 12.5% & 21.8% larger F/R compared to an S (simply comparing the rotor area).
I just received the bad news from my SA that my V260 is now delayed to July 16 with est arrival at dealer not until Sept 24. Original V260 was May 28 , then pushed to June 11 and now July.
I'm likely a victim of the chip shortage delay for the 18 way seats It will be worth the wait though!!
My SA seams to think my car will still be MY2021, he claims the cross over does not happen till next year.
Anybody here knows when the cross over to MY2022 happens as I think he may be mistaken ?

I think for sure it's going to be a MY22.
My original build date was early June then when it shifted to July it was no longer MY21.

I am new to the forum but I have been lurking for a while. I just ordered a CGTS with an October build and figured I would join the conversation!
My SA sent me this about a month ago. My original delivery date was 6/11/2021, but noticed on the bottom it says arrival at the dealership will be 6/25/2021. I guess I would take delivery a day or two later after PDI? I’m hopefully that my GT4. Doesn’t get any further delays.
