z4mcoupedw,

You are indeed lucky and did hit the Porsche lottery yesterday. I've been a repeat Porsche customer and had to wait for 6 months to get my Spyder allocation to convert to an order 2 weeks ago, and I won't get my car until the end of October. Thank your lucky starts sir!

I'm likely a victim of the chip shortage delay for the 18 way seats It will be worth the wait though!!
My SA seams to think my car will still be MY2021, he claims the cross over does not happen till next year.
Anybody here knows when the cross over to MY2022 happens as I think he may be mistaken ?
Mine enters production July 27 and is a 2022.

About the same here. I talked to him yesterday and he said no changes, but I do have a VIN# and it is a 2021:

My original build date was early June then when it shifted to July it was no longer MY21.

Double check it, maybe you can get Shark Blue
That’s what I thought too. Thanks! I feel if I have to wait THAT long I might as well get rewarded with it being a 2022! My freeze date is now not till July 7.

Where can you see what your VIN number is? Is that how you can can tell it’s a MY2021 for sure? In your experience when, (at a specific V code?) is the Vin usually assigned ?

This so close to mine, so mine has to roll over to MY2022, especially with further delays. What is your freeze date V250?

That is just one day later than mine. Mine HAS to be a MY2022 then! I will double check. Shark Blue might be in my future after all!

When you secured your allocation and passed on your build you should have received a Porsche Build Sheet — Retail. Among other things is the MY, commission number, options, etc…

Our cars entered production on the same day, except mine got stuck at v260. Now we both have Jul 30 exit production dates. I didn't take 18-ways though.

If anyone's SA tells us what options to change to to avoid the delay, I'd love to know if it's something I'm willing to give up/pay more for.

On that original sheet I got at V200 in March it’s says MY2021. I just thought if production gets delayed that deep into July it changes to 2022? Or is the original Build sheet the master?

It's July 7. My SA told me that if I get the build in and don't make any more changes, the build date might move up. Since I built more of a touring GTS with 14-way seats and PASM, maybe they will push up my build date.

PASM is a whole other story. I've done so much research on PASM vs SPASM, looked at photos, and still a bit on the fence. One poster wrote if SPASM and PASM are both good rides, what tips the scale? For me, I need that SUV look (lol - love some of the posts) given where I drive it.

Wouldn't this depend on the when the factory shuts down and does the MY changeover? I know that's how it works for American cars. Various factories shutdown in July/August and maintenance as well as upgrades to the line are done for the new MY.
