I assume we will all be on the same boat and that it actually stops in Baltimore and then Houston and then San Diego or L A. (I am not sure about the left coast). But the tracker just shows the direct route to our destinations. It seems the TYD tracker isn’t really sophisticated enough to break down the delivery times it probably just has a default of so many days lead time based on the vessel departure date to anywhere in the USA. From what I have seen it seems to take about 2 weeks to Baltimore and another week to Houston. My port arrival date is estimated as 12-31 but if the boat leaves on 12-3 it may be in Houston by 12-24. I know the dealer will want to get the car right away and deliver before the end of the year if they can. At least that is
my prediction.

Mine will unload in RI, so unless it goes RI, MD, TX, CA, we may not be on the same ship. I guess we'll know soon enough.

BTW, my just went down another day to 50 a few hours ago. I guess it's based on Germany time zone.

Agreed that either the camera or the post processing is skewing the color representation in those particular photos more towards Voodoo or something even deeper or more purple than that.
His earlier photos, like those in his earlier post #444, are a truer representation: https://rennlist.com/forums/718-gts-...l#post17763676

If you click on future milestones you see the estimated port arrival. As we all know, those move around. But if you know your boat and can find its schedule you would know the actual date of port arrival and get a more accurate delivery estimate.

BTW, how DO I find what vessel I'm on? And the vessel schedules?

News to me is that there are several different routes the boats take. The West Coast ships don't make stops on the way getting there quicker than they would otherwise. I can't find access to real-time Emden VW boat schedules. Here's the one from last Aug......

2. Porsche has to be the only OEM I can think of that charges to go to black!!! Almost all charge for a colour. So it was a mater of principle. ha!

Thanks @halfmonkey for all the pics. Helps pass the time until the car arrives!

Totally agree and my thought process was pretty much the same when it came to paying $900 for what I would consider no color (or non-painted) calipers. We all wanted red calipers as kids. To pay $900 NOT to have red just seems wrong. In the end, I figured if I really dislike the red w/my SB CGTS, I can get them painted black (or any color for that matter) in the aftermarket world, maybe even for less than the $900.

My car is supposed to be completed today. I'm clicking refresh on the TYD app hoping for a pic!!!

That was my thought process, too. So I have the car, just turned 1600 miles, and the red brakes work for me. $900 saved.

Two tough questions in todays world, in the past the schedule for RoRo ships was released monthly no it seems they stopped doing that, PWL Logistics still shows the sheet you mention. At this point if you know that your car is in Emden you could watch Marine Traffic for the next ship that docks, then look at where its next destination is, piece together the puzzle. As for a definitive answer for the ship, your SA will know once your car is loaded. AFAIK the routes are fairly static, at least they were in the past but they do prefer to travel with full loads so maybe stop were needed now...

They did for my last one, and I also pay for MarineTraffic so I could follow the shipment daily across the Atlantic. It’s cheap entertainment, but it also gives you updates when the boat will dock.
