Yea, don't remind me! My trip to VW was disappointing. I'm trusting that this color will look better on my CGTS when it arrives!

I have seen it in person on a GT3 and it does work better on a Porsche. But I’m with you I am actually nervous about my choice. I just really wanted something that suited a GT4 so I decided to go bold. I won’t know if I love it until I have time to live with it.

The good news is that we can probably sell them for a profit. The bad news is that we cannot buy a replacement for probably a year! LOL

I do think it will be great, especially on your GT4. I was debating flashy vs low-key with an Aventurine Green. In the end, I went flashy since it's a weekend toy and I like being different. In fact, it was my wife who saw the color the night before I locked and just replied with "WOW! That's got!" `Nuff said. Shark Blue it is.

The color is the same which is an objective fact. Which car it looks better on is subjective.

Don't fret, its a great color for a GT4, had mine for 2.5 months now and never get tired of looking at it and certainly doesn't look like something that belongs on a VW!

Lol, I know. I paid those bucks but zero regrets. The 718 form factor makes all the difference. I also did paint correction (PPF and ceramic, too) on it and it looks amazing.

I have said it over and over. Repeat after me:

THE COLOR DOES NOT MAKE THE CAR. THE CAR MAKES THE COLOR😛😛😛

Also as far as caliper color goes….ideally I would have done yellow. But I wasn’t going to pay $8000 for just a caliper color. So I went black. It looks a lot better than you think. BUT, I am still going to get them painted. There is a guy in the Houston area that comes to your house fro a whopping $350. He has 5 star review after five star review. I figure I’ll give him a chance. So I will have yellow for $1250…🤪🤪🤪. I’ll post up pics as he’s doing it Monday.

As for my edit up above. It’s not as far off as y’all think…maybe the second pic is🤪. But it was well past the “golden hour” and was lacking light. So had to edit accordingly. Not a pro by any means. But like I said, it isn’t very far off.

In the end, I would order the color again and again. Everywhere I go people are blown away. I’m not looking for the approval of others…..but they most certainly approve!!! Order with confidence!!!😅😅😅

It's all good. We obsess over these things, and we come on here to share our obsession. Its a safer place to do so than at home sometimes. LOL

I welcome the feedback and love to hear what others are doing with their cars.

To be fair, I'm not sure there is a color that would make that thing look good!

Oh yes! Don't get me started on the price they make us pay for a couple rolls of different coloured thread for the interior..

I have plans to work over the paint from the start so I will get the best it can give.

I 100% agree. The home crowd doesn’t understand me the way you all do. Haha.

Yes it’s nice to know I am not alone with my neurosis. You all are saving me lots of money on counseling.

It was sixty degrees and sunny today, the perfect day for a sports car ride on these country roads. More observations:

1. The Shark Blue seems to catch People’s attention. People are not pulling out in front of me on side roads - they wait until I go by. I wonder if it’s because they want to see what’s coming.
2. I feel safer driving it because the color does grab people’s attention.
3. I am not sure I’ll ever red line this car. When I looked down to see how fast I was going in third at 6200 RPM, well, you know. Cows were flying by rather quickly.
4. It’s been awhile since I had this kind of feed back that a convertible with the top down gives. The engine and exhaust are right there behind you. Sublime.
5. Simple controls in a sports car are best as are the three gauges that you can actually read.
6. I mentioned the engine, transmission, and suspension before, but guess I should again as they are the star of the show for me. I’ll add in the steering as well this time, as it is precise and gives great feedback.

This may be the best sports car of all time, at least for me. At one point I had it briefly in the air. There was no commotion. It just went on about its business. .
