Hi Guys,
I live in San Antonio, Texas and can confirm what Terry has said about his reasons for getting the AS/4 tires.
People think of Texas and generally only think about hot weather.
Well, it can rain cats, dogs, and even big animals here.
And, the temps are often below freezing, with long periods below 40.
I have had Ultra High Performance tires on a couple of cars here but in the cold or wet conditions they were not safe.
I currently have the AS/4 tires on my Audi RS5 with the 450 HP 4.2 L V-8.
The AS/4s are quieter, track better, and are safer than the OEM UHP tires that came with the car.
I have not noticed any reduction in "performance."
Maybe if I drove like a complete half-wit perhaps there would be a smidgen less performance? On the street I doub it.
An excellent tire for performance cars if you live in areas that get cold or have a lot of heavy-duty rain.

Well you certainly have beaten me to getting the Michelin AS/4 tires on your new (To-You) Audi RS-5.
Great Write-Up buddy and what you have found out is what I have also found out with the Michelin AS/4 tires on our Golf R.
They are even better and actually "Exceeding" what I thought they were going to be like.

I'm a half wit in central TX and can definitely feel the difference between different tiers of tires on the street. I've quickly overheated Michelins performance AS on some twisty back roads. MPS4S have impressive grip, stick pretty well even below 40 degrees, but with their soft sidewalls feel a little numb. With something like the Goodyear Supercar 3 or Bridgestone RE71r I certainly feel the added grip on the street. The stiffer sidewalls and more connection between treadblocks give the impressions that you've removed a layer of mush from the bushings. The steering wheel feels more like you're driving a sports car rather than a Lexus. I've even been impressed with how the SC3's do in the high 30's. They don't turn into hockey pucks, but I do ease into it to get some heat into the tires, then I can drive like it's 70 degrees out.

When we were younger, a lot younger, we also drove like idiots and my and Tom's opinions are.
We are lucky to be still above ground !!!
The Michelin AS/4 tires will work perfect for our driving needs at this point in our lives.

OBSESSED Garage EGO short blower extension has arrived ...

Some of you might also like to look into getting the following.
It makes drying the GT4 extremely easy.
Note*
Using this method nothing touches the (Painted-Surface) to possibly SCRATCH it.
I placed the order for the OBSESSED Garage EGO short blower extension back on November 2021.
They were not yet into the Final-Production.
Finally they were being manufactured in the Final-Release and getting shipped.
This is what I purchased to use blowing-off the GT4 after washing/detailing it.
It works great but the stock blower-tube is just to darn long and of course the tip is Hard-Plastic if you were to accidentally to touch the painted-surface.
This New Short Blower Tube comes with a Soft-Rubber-Tip.
Since I knew I was going to be using the EGO Blower for extended times with both my eXmart LZ X Zero Turn Mower & the GT4.
I ordered both the extended battery and the Fast-Charger.

Finally things are coming together on my ordered Michelin AS/4 tires for the GT4 ...

As some of you know that follow this thread I have ordered a long time ago the Michelin AS/4 tires with Discount Tire.
I was, shall I say, disappointed so CANCELLED with them and requested a Full-Refund which came through last week.
I then went back to The Tire Rack which I have done business with for more than 30 Plus years.
And Always-always totally satisfied.
I should have gone with them in the 1st place but since Discount Tire is no more than like 3-miles from my house I went with them.
No sour-grapes here just sharing information here as I always have.
Anyway look below at the pictures.
Now all I need is the rear tires and I can set the appointment with Porsche of Nashville with Nick (Shop Foreman) to do his Magic as he has in the past.

That looks like an unwieldy tool for drying a car, I tried my leaf blower a few times and it wasn’t really balanced right for that kind of work. So I put the Big Boi mini on my christmas list and it is amazing.

I've used a variety of ways to dry cars over the years.
And they all were just to me a Major PAIN to deal with.
My EGO set-up is expensive but the way I see it the GT4 also was so to help keeping the GT4 better than Showroom New the EGO is worth every penny.
Below are additional pictures for you to give you perhaps a better idea about it.

All the discussions to me Always say go DRY for maximum flow with No-Worries on Oiled Filters possibly clogging the MAF.
Also, maintenance-wise simply replace the Dry-Filter when doing the next oil & filter change.
I went with Verus as seen below after touching base with Jon Swift (Owner) of FLAT 6 MOTORSPORTS.

I can second this.
I detail cars for a living and I use the Ego 650 to dry the cars off.
The new Obsessed Garage stubby is a great addition as well, I got mine on Monday and have since dried 5 vehicle using it.
Also while im at it, any Porsche owner in NJ always gets a discount from us.

Thanks for your Positive comments as I have not yet used my OBSESSED Garage Stubby.
But, I can see from it's Much-much shorter length and it having the (Soft-Rubber-Tip) it's going to be GREAT.
