Oh Glory Days! I can now quit this awful place called RL* - TERRY HAS HIS CAR!!! Yahoo! Congrats and 'Mazel Tov' - drive it in good health (and only at the redline)!
* I may stick around to hear how Terry likes its, but then Im really outta here!
Thanks for all the photos. It is a lot of work, often tedious, to do a lengthy photo post like yours.
I loved almost being there with you and Cathy as you picked up the GT4.
Great to see the car with the front spoiler installed.
It really is a beauty.
Thanks, too, for the interior photos as I love the way you speced it.
Wow, look at all those buttons on the powered seat: Maybe one is for ejection should a passenger not be able to handle the g's.
The car looks right at home in your garage next to Cathy's Golf R.
I think we know which one is the Alpha Machine.
Glad you got a chance to go for a drive last night.
Looking forward to your impressions of the car once you get some miles on it.
Cheers,
Tom
Tom Cochran, I have a {Surprise} for you and of course all that are interested after I reply to all the comments here.

Yes, we do have that RL in common.
I do so like the decals especially after seeing them in person.
As you know I want see Plus-5K RPMs for awhile but that's okay the wait will be worth it I'm thinking.

Oh you can count on me sharing what I think but that's going to be a lot later buddy.
But I will do it !!!

Something I actually totally "Overlooked" guys my Badddddddddddd
Greetings everyone,
Below is something I actually did for a Longgggg time Home Theater and Car buddy in San Antonio, Texas.
Mr. Thomas (Tom) Cochran and I go way back to when we both had our Limited Edition Bullitt Mustangs which was 2008.
Tom and I are both Way-way into the Audio/Video thing as well as Sport Cars.
He was with H/P (Hewlett-Packard) in Europe for many years as an Executive and while their he had an RS 911 Porsche as I recall, (I could be wrong on the exact Model).
So Tom has went through all different cars over the years as I have.
And then the two of us have the Audio/Video Media-Room/Home Theater thing in common.
He has also flown here multiple times as well as him and his brother Cal Cochran driving up to spend a week visiting.
Tom and I in Cathy's office when he was here years ago visiting we had a Great time.
So, that ^^^ was a little background on us Olddddd farts as some say ...........
Tom, I know you wanted to be here in person but this might work as a substitute buddy.
Okay, Tom I didn't forget you and here is the GT4 on it's very 1st Start-Up leaving Porsche of Nashville's showroom.
Porsche Cayman 718 GT4 delivery at Porsche of Nashville
Lastly, I did receive my last invoice from Chris owner of (Marlin's Auto Detailing) yesterday.
And let me say once again if any of you want the Best of the Best get in touch with Chris.
He has cars sent to him from all over the place.
One has to get in-line but his Expertise is worth the wait !!!
Thanks Big-Guy and believe me not only am I well pleased but so is the wife which is the real reason I have the GT4.
Oh, love the Two-Thumbs-Up "Dawg".
Terry
Can’t wait to hear future updates from you.
Since you do it so often, I think that you should embrace the “Two Thumbs Up” as your trademark.
I’d even make two small decals of it and add it to your car somewhere… maybe lower bottom fender behind the wheels?
Just a thought.
Hey buddy, thanks for the nice write-up you did about our long friendship.
Indeed, we have spent years together sharing our mutual hobbies of performance cars and audio-visual gear.
We could fill a book detailing our many adventures together, whether at your fabulous Home Theater or at the dragstrip.
I really appreciate you taking the time to do that video of your GT4 being started at Porsche of Nashville and the engine revs.
Watching that (more than once) was almost like being there.
I must say the exhaust sounds deeper than I expected. Love it!
The Porsche I had while living in Europe was a 1974 911 Carrera RS 2.7.
Porsche only made about 1600 of them in 1973-1974 as I recall and they are still beautiful cars.
Only 210 horsepower but they could scoot 0 to 60 in about 5.8 seconds and the sound was really nice all the way to the 7200 red line.
Many times on various autobahns in Europe I topped her out at 250 km/hr (155 mph.)
She got a little light in the front over 210 km/hr but I was young and perhaps a halfwit at times.
Here is a photo of the car identical to mine with the exception that I did not have the side decals:
Thanks again Terry for the trip down memory lane with that photo of us in your office and for the video.
Enjoy the hell out of that GT4. I think it is fair to say that is going to be the most fun car you have ever owned.

Your San Antonio friend,

Hello Tom,
As you know I've been beyond bust with the GT4 on a daily basis.
So that's the Porsche from back when you were in Europe.
I'm glad you posted the picture of it.
Here I am at Shell getting my breakfast biscuit and chocolate milk.
Fill GT4 up and away I go until dark each day.
Lastly,
I have now completed the 1st 1,000 miles of the 2,000 miles break in.
I am doing this per Porsche Guide-Lines.
No RPM over 4,000.
No lugging the engine.
No cruise-control.
I'm 100% driving using the Sport Mode.
I am not using the Exhaust Mode which to some of you will be a surprise I think.
I am Turning-Off the Auto-Start-Feature.
Woooohoooo! You’ve made excellent progress in a short time.
I hardly ever turn on the exhaust. I find it doesn’t add much to my experience, and especially on a longer drive I prefer it as quiet as possible inside the cabin. My dealer deleted the sound symposer which made it a little quieter with less drone at highway speeds.
Your car blends nicely with the Shell yellow/red accent theme
1k already? Holy crap, you don’t mess around! It took me months.
And trust me Terry, you know yourself that the rings have seated… she’s broken in.
Enjoy

Oh, you did the sound symposer delete on the stock set-up? % wise, how much volume and drone did it remove would you say?
Would love to hear more on the noises it reduces/eliminates.
