I'm confused. Why do you need all the extension tubes anyway? What am I missing?
I believe the company that manufactures the blower supplies that really long tube by default. A different company makes the stubby tube. So you end up with all these different tubes no matter what.

See the below post that Rasputin did.
EGO manufacturing only has the (Stock-Long-Tube) that comes on it from the factory.
OBSESSED Garage supplies the Shorty-Stubby-Tube shown in the pictures above with the Soft-Rubber-Tip..

Your Order Has Shipped, 295/30ZR-20 Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 XL
Up-Date,
Well time is up and now things will get done.
The 295/30ZR-20 Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 XL rear tires are shipped.
Once they arrive I'll make the appointment at PON (Porsche of Nashville).
I also have the Verus Engineering - High Performance Air Filters (718 Cayman / Boxster) × 1 to be installed.
I've decided to ask Nick (Shop Foreman) to check the alignment as I have 2,527 miles on the GT4.
So I'm sure the suspension has settled to where it's going to stay.
I want to find out if there is a preferred (Street) alignment versus what comes from the Porsche Manufacturing on the GT4 with the Michelin Cup2 (Track-Tires).
Randy, as you can see the GT4 has NOT been driven since I placed the original Michelin tire order at Discount Tire on January 20th 2022.

Terry, glad the wait is nearly over for the new tires! I'm sure Randy didn't expect you to park the car for 3.5 months when he agreed to buy your tires. You certainly have more willpower than me!

slilley,
Any day the rears should be arriving at my house.
Speaking of Randy he did tell me to go ahead and drive the GT4 while I was waiting on the Michelin AS/4 tires to come off being back-ordered.
I chose not to do that so no additional wear would be put on the PS4S Michelin tires.
Or worse a possible puncture.
Well when I was a heck of a lot younger I had little to no patience at all.
At now 76-years old I have some patience if required.
I stumbled upon this thread after failing to install the Verus Engineering air filters on my 22 GT4 today. The provided screws didn't have enough binding power to properly seat the filter onto the filter mount, leaving a gap in between.
I kept screwing the screws bu they just won't bind. I thought they stripped the filter screw housings, but no, they worked perfectly when I just inserted the screw straight into the housing without the mount...

Benjaminchan15,
I appreciate the Heads-Up on the Verus Dry intake filters.
I passed that on to Nick at PON so he is aware of what took place with you on your install.
My 2021 Porsche Cayman 718 GT4 is at PON, (Porsche of Nashville).
Hello,
I dropped off the GT4 yesterday at PON (Porsche of Nashville) for some service work.
Like,
Installing the new Michelin AS/4 Ultra High Performance tires
Oil & Filter change.
Verus dry intake air filters
Full alignment and requested Nick do the New alignment for the street with the Michelin AS/4 tires for extended wear.
I also did a video I'll share below and some pictures for those that like that sort of thing.
Nick (Shop Foreman) on the Left & Blake my Service Writer on the right.
As you see the new Michelin As/4 tires were in Cathy's Golf R hatchback being delivered.
And of course here's the full crew including me dropping it off.
Next is something I decided to order from Amazon Prime.
They are Soft Elbow-Supports.
If some of you recall many months ago I placed an order with OBSESSED Garage for the Karcher Ultimate Package.
Well finally all parts of that package arrived as several items were back-ordered as so many things are in today's world.
I had a buddy come by and after a few trips to local Home Depot we got things figured out that were needed to mount the Commercial *** Reel to the concrete garage wall.
All went pretty smooth for the most part with Bobby's Help that is.
We did watch the Obsessed Garage video to give us the general idea and it did help.
After the installation I did give it a try and Thank-Goodness ............ No-Leaks !!!
It works exactly as it should so detailing the GT4 in the future is going to be a heck of a lot simpler.
I couldn't recall if I got the 100' Obsessed Garage optional length hose or not?
Once again due to some items for the Ultimate package being back-ordered.
Anyway, I did get the 100' extended hose instead of the normally supplied 50' hose.
As you can see in the picture I took this package doesn't take up much space at all.
Perfect for us with a garage and doing our prized possession like my GT4.
If you haven't seen the below I suggest checking it out as this is truly a great solution for us at home.
Hey, it's Terry Honaker standing on the porch, soft suitcase in hand, who just drove 940 miles in a non-stop 15-hour drive from Franklin, TN to San Antonio, TX.
And forget dinner! He's staying at my house for 3 days on a SURPRISE visit so his friend Tom (that's me) and Tom's brother Cal can drive his Racing Yellow GT4.
That's how I got to drive a modern Porsche racing car on the backroad, country streets outside of San Antonio, Texas, with Terry in the passenger seat egging me on to drive the snot out of his prized machine.
Folks, I LOVE this GT4. I mean I would marry it.
Before the driving comments I should tell you that the last Porsche I drove was my beloved 1974 Carrera RS 2.7l (yes, I am old, 80-years in fact.)
Oh, first, here is a photo of Terry doing the "Bugs be Gone" detailing the morning after he arrived:
And here he is standing next to his Show Car in my driveway after having slept for 13 hours:
In case you missed it, look at his shoes: Methinks Terry is a diehard fan of Yellow.
A compliment to Terry for the options he chose since he was not planning on tracking the car: The Power Seats are great, definitely a good thing to have on the many crummy roads around here that get beaten up
in the Texas weather; also, the new Michelin AS/4 tires are excellent, keeping road noise down to acceptable levels but having plenty of grip; the Racing Yellow color is fantastic and can probably be seen from the moon
if you are looking for attention (Terry is!)
This GT4 looks like an alien machine here in Planet Pickup country:
So, why do I LOVE this car?
Well, first and foremost is the SOUND.
I am absolutely blown away by the beautiful Intake Noises this engine produces. Really, it is a symphony of sounds for my ears, brain, heart, and soul.
I could not stop goosing the throttle to hear the incredible variety of music from this NA flat-six.
Pedal to the carpet changed this acceptable every-day driver into a wonderful BEAST of a car that just keeps accelerating as the tach climbs.
I couldn't get enough of it and could live the rest of my life with this car and never get bored.
The PDK is a great transmission, shifts as if it were connected to the brain with a chip implant.
The brakes have a great feel, are awesome.
The steering is very precise, good feel, and the car tracks magnificently.
The suspension was a big surprise to me: The car takes curves effortlessly but is quite compliant for a racing machine.
Traction is great and the electronics don't interfere at all.
I could not find anything about the car that I disliked.
Fit and finish and quality of materials are excellent.
In sum, I am jealous of anyone owning one of these fantastic cars. My hat is off to Porsche for what they have accomplished.
Lastly, here is a photo of Terry this morning at 6:00 am packing up for his journey home.
Once again he plans to drive non-stop arriving in Franklin, TN about 9:00 pm tonight.
THANK YOU, Terry, for the surprise visit and for letting me "drive it like I stole it."
You are one lucky guy to own what has to be one of the world's great cars, with an engine that could put a smile on the face of the world's grumpiest man.
Cheers buddy,
P.S. Recently got off the phone with Terry who is somewhere East of Dallas: He is driving 85 mph and getting 28.4 mpg.
Great trip and report, sounds like Terry has sold you on the GT4.
I couldn't resist mentioning my so-far longest trip in a Porsche, back in 1986 I drove my 944 Turbo from Amarillo to my home in Fort Payne, AL, 1007 miles, in 16 hours. Other than gas and pit stops, we did also stop for lunch and dinner, 16 hours, which included a slight detour to drop off a friend. I hope to take a similar, though more leisurely trip in my GTS 4.0 soon. I might even have a set of AS/4 tires on it by then.
