This video was realized during one private development TEST event few weeks ago on the nurburgring.
Laptiming BRIDGE TO GANTRY were allowed and used during the video
The Michelin all season 4 is one special tire who are (for the moment) only available in north america,
in a limited range of sizes (maximum 18') it is one mix between the PILOT SPORT 4S and the winter ALPIN 5.
I had the opportunity to test it on the cayman during one EXTREMELY raining lap,
for exemple on one level 5 (0 is dry 5 is maxi wet with aquaplaning at some places) this lap were between 4.5 and 5! 11°c outside temperature
The grip of this tire and how is becoming warm is absolutely INSANE!
we used the PORSCHE APPROVED dimension in size 235/45/18 front and 265/45/18 rear
The grip allow you to use more classic line vs rain line and this help to reduce laptime!
I noticed some minimum speed really high, like on Schwendenkreuz: 4s/152KM/H ALL4/164km/h !
Tire pressure: 2.1 all around The laptime was 8min53 btg, and that is pretty fast for one street legal car!!
To give you an idea the apex gt2 rs MR on ps4s brand new and same weather conditions are in the range 8min45/8MIN 50,
at the wheel one pro driver, 400hp more, extreme downforce etc...
Good job MICHELIN (again :-)

Also, since I haven't said much about the other benefit I'm hoping for regarding the AS/4 tires that I have seen in videos as well as customer comments.
The AS/4 tires are Quiet and from some reviews quieter than the Summer-Performance PS4S tires I'm currently running.
I know that the AS/4 tires are very quiet on our Golf R.
I hope the same holds true for my GT4 in regards to two additional benefits other than the benefits of Cold-Weather and Rain.
(1) They do ride really nice.
(2) Hopefully they will be "Quieter" on my GT4 than the PS4S I'm running that would really be nice.
For those interested check-back here and I'll be posting in the Future as to what I think on the AS/4 tires once I finally get them.

Terry - I had the car out today for some spiriting driving - near 70 today… top down!!! The tires handle *very* high speed quite well. On tight turns, they will break loose in a gradual and predictable way. I slid the rear end around a few times today and liking these tires so far.
The Ultra A/S tires for the X3M were pushed back a month. Yes, there must be some production issues.

Let me make sure that what you are saying is what I'm thinking you are.
What specific car were you driving and exactly what tires were on it ???
I'm thinking you are referring to the Michelin AS/4 (Ultra-High-Performance-All-Season) tires.
What size are your's ???
I'd like to read more about what your take is on the "Noise-Level" if in-fact we are both talking about the AS/4 tires.
They are reported to be quieter than the Michelin PS4S tires I currently have.
And a smoother ride.
And yes there is a definite (Catch-Up) going on with Michelin regarding the AS/4 tires in certain sizes like what fits my GT4.
Per Michelin-Customer-Support I'm to call them back on the 28th of this month to get a further up-date on my size tires and when they will go into production.

To refresh your memory - it’s over in the “What did you buy for your 718 today?” thread. They are quieter than the Pirelli’s, but don’t know about the PS4S.

Hey Terry, I purchased them through Tire Rack and had them sent to my installer. These sizes are for a Boxster GTS and are the correct size for my car.
235/35ZR-20 MICHELIN PILOT SPORT ALL SEASON 4 XL
265/35ZR-20 MICHELIN PILOT SPORT ALL SEASON 4 XL
I ordered them around Christmas time and Tire Rack put me in the cue. The same tire ordered at the same time for my X3M won’t be delivered until April.

Speaking of Valentin's Day ..............
Greetings to my Rennlist buddies as well as Guest that follow this thread.
I stumbled on something that caught my ATTENTION regarding Valentine's Day weeks ago.
I decided to jump on it and ordered it for Cathy my wife of Plus 37-Years.
I think since this is a dedicated thread that some Fun would be appropriate.
If you pay attention to the video you will notice it has Cathy taking Delivery of the 2021 Porsche 718 GT4 in Racing Yellow that she purchased.
This just took place this morning and believe me Cathy was Super SURPRISED !!!
I love doing things that Cathy doesn't have a clue about,

All on this end is A-OK.
Thanks for inquiring.
Well my Good-Man that was back like 57-years ago when I was in Cu-Chi, Vietnam.
Could I share that experience, yes.
But, I'd much prefer sharing my Porsche GT4 on going stories with you guys.
I'm still working on the acquisition of the Michelin AS/4 (Ultra High Performance All Season 4) tires.
I'm hoping and I did say hoping to have some useful news on that soon.
Other than that the GT4 is in it's assigned Parking Spot in the Climate-Controlled Garage with Cathy's VW Golf R.
We are enjoying the Golf R as it now has those New Michelin A/S 4 tires under it.
If the GT4 reacts as good as the Golf R to the AS/4 tires I will have made a good decision for sure.

I Do-Not want this dedicated Porsche GT4 thread turned into a Military thread guys, please.
Here is what I'll say from my take on the Vietnam thing.
When I was their I made it a point to not ever fool around doing Stupid-Crap, ever !!!
I didn't have Sex with any Locals intentionally.
I didn't do Any-Drugs of any kind.
What I did do was to 100% of the time try my best to Always-always pay Super-Close-Attention to my surroundings.
Lastly, what I'm so Sorry for are all those from this Country (USA) and all the other Countries that sent their citizens to Vietnam and Lost their lives and or Minds.
Now you can more than likely figure out from the above ^^^ why I don't talk about Vietnam.
It to me was a Pathetic and Totally irresponsible Decision by the Powers-to-be-that ran this Country.
Stay Safe my Good-Man,
Terry
