I impulse purchased a set of used Kline headers as I awaited my new Kline OAP and rear section, only to find that the sound of the OAP and rear section was plenty sound for me.
I have a set of Kline SS headers if anyone wants to try the whole system!

Just curious, how hot does it get under the car with the stainless OAPs in the Kline setup without the heat shielding (or is there heat shielding)? Is there much more radiant heat down there or does removing the OPFs mitigate that? Does the inside of the rear tires get warm.
The OPFs do a serve a purpose even if if unmonitored or not? Isn't that true? I thought they were there as a secondary catalyst/combustion source for trapped soot and carbon?
Trying ot understand the setup.

Of course OPFs serve a purpose. They are ceramic honeycomb style filters that trap hydrocarbons/carbon monoxide etc. The ceramic matrix gets very hot and burns these particulates transforming them into CO2,H2O and nitrogen. So it is good for environment but not so good for performance/flow, sound, heat etc.

Sorry if has been answered before, I’m currently looking into exhaust system and I’m leaning towards Kline, however one question I have that applies I guess to other exhaust systems is how the valves work.
Am I able to open/close the valves with the OEM button on the console? Or do I need a separate controller from the exhaust manufacturer?

What’s a conservative guess on the HP gains for this system (no headers). 10?

Even with the sport exhaust button pressed the valves are open at idle, then close around 1500rpm and do not open again until 5000 in 1st and 2nd gear. In all other gears it opens up at 3800 instead of 5000. When the valves are closed the exhaust is very quiet and it’s like an on/off switch.
