I would not have expected cracking in the actual exhaust. I believe most the discussion around the concerns of an unshielded aftermarket OAP was related to the high heat exposure to surrounding suspension components and tires, not the actual exhaust itself cracking. In fact I'd think exhaust/pipe heat shield wrap, while it would protect other components, would in fact cause the actual exhaust itself to retain more heat in the system. It's an interesting debate.

This went on today. Inconel OAPs (shielded) + back box. Stock tips. My first impression - amazing. The tone and character over 4k RPM is completely changed with some tasteful pops when coming off throttle abruptly. Looking forward to hearing how it evolves once it heat cycles.
I also have some valve collars that I'll put on soon, but for now I'm running factory valve logic.

Did you retain stock tips, or go with an aftermarket option?

I'm close to pulling the trigger on Kline, but just want to finish doing my DD with this sizable purchase. Has anyone got Kline (SS or Inconel) OAPS & Box - and felt that the change was not significant enough or not worth the $5-8k ? Just want to make sure I will not have buyers remorse. From everything I have read the Kline is the way to go so I should be very happy with it.
