you keep saying “ fake pops “ ,gt3 is loud and there is no overrun crackles and pop. Not sure if you know what you’re talking about. You can add and exhaust on a spyder for more volume ,and there won’t be any crackles and pops.
here’s for reference.

In addition to what @Sausage416 said,

It's not that the "market" wants "loud", they want it to sound like a GT3 cup car. Too bad the 718 Spyder sounds like a revved up lawn mower by comparison stock. It's just a fact, GT team couldn't make it sound the way they'd ideally want because they were handcuffed from doing so. Good thing they made an engine that sounds good uncorked, and that's what needs to be done if one prefers the sounds of a GT3 in their GT car of choice....which most enthusiasts do...dare I say all Porsche enthusiasts...except you apparently

If you want it quiet, shut the valves off, problem solved lol.

It's never gonna sound like the GT3 because it's not the same motor. And I'm referring primarily to the few videos I've seen posted on here so far that seem to be exactly what I'm saying, simply loud and raspy, which is what seems to pass as 'great sound' nowadays; as well as the repeated comments of how 'great' the 981 Spyder sounded. That car's soundtrack was ridiculously phony and a lot of people made fun of it back then, but now it's suddenly 'epic'...

As I said, different strokes for different folks, but you can make more people happy by leaving all of that nonsense off of the car stock and let people who want it knock themselves out adding it on.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work on the 981 Spyder, because, with valves closed, on decel you'd get a harmonic buzz. Which was even more annoying than the pops and crackles.

Sounds like something someone might say that wants to sell you an exhaust system

and why shouldnt it?... is what I would say to the naysayers...the GT department basically built this bespoke engine with the same bore and stroke as the GT3 with forged internals revving to 8k, got to believe that GT magic sound is there to be unleashed.

That way, people who want the latter can go get it and the rest of us can enjoy the real soundtrack of intake and motor.
Well if you dont want to be frustrated, dont go and drive the original Cayman 987.1S, because that first edition has by far the best engine only sound of any Porsche IMHO. You get this glorious engine whine sound in the cabin and no exhaust sound with the windows up. Then on the 987.2 they added loads of more effective sound deadening material, so forget that one.
I really miss that sound, but I love exhaust drama, esp from the RSR.

We don't push sales, thats simply not our thing.

When we posted the first ever video of our Titanium Race Pipe on the 991 GT3 RS the video was criticised by many, including three other manufactures implying that the video had been edited as it was impossible to achieve that sound.

187 Titanium Race Pipes later......

GPF bypass pipes.
I see supersprint now has these listed on their web site, but no pic. 1050 Euro per set for SS type.
