Sounds great. The engine also looks like a great one (not 991.2 GT3 4.0L great) but looks very exciting and happy to rev!

I understand that Sportec has a mod for this but I couldn't find it on their site for cost and availability?

I’ll be looking for a DIY on how to just permanently lock the exhaust in the open position. No electronics needed, just want to manually lock it in place.

Perhaps I’ll change my mind once I hear the car in person but I’m guessing not.

Phase 1, how to make the car sound the best it can without any physical alterations from factory... Phase 2, how to make it sound like a 981 Spyder.

If it's similar to the 981, you would just disconnect the T vacuum line between the valves and insert a plug so dirt doesn't get in, or open the engine cover and disconnect the wiring from the solenoid.

Sounds simple enough and a lot cheaper than a new cat-back system!

Now if I only had a car to do it on!

Dont forget different countries have different OEM flap programming. Here the 981 GT4, if you make the exhaust open it is always open at all RPMs.

this video by Luke is a complete joke, he talks about exhaust modification, but its nothing of the sort, just pull and plug your vacuum hoses. Sportec have such a terrible reputation with their clients that they will not hand back your car keys until you pay their typically extortionate bill immediately upfront, there are now notices about this all over their reception, very welcoming, I have plenty of experience ....but not with my GT3RS. Luke should be ashamed by this promotional video and his association with Sportec

Is it me or does his car drone now? If you do a similar modification to the GT3 991 exhaust it drones like hell.

care of @alexk79 (thanks Alex!), and thought it would be good to group it with the rest of the data points too.

WITHOUT OPF video (delete pipes)

WITH OPF video for comparison.
