I could be mistaken, but it looks like the green from the 997.1 GT3 RS....and if so, that's AWESOME.

Looks like I'll get to drive it on track Feb 10-12 in Spain. Glad I accepted the invite on a hunch.

The engine is connected exclusively to a six-speed manual transmissionand it enables the cars to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.3 seconds. Given enough room, they’ll eventually top out at 182 mph (293 km/h). “

So here's the big question, what are the gear ratios? Is the manual the same box as in the GT4 or is it a new box or is it the same as the old GTS or S or base?

Betting it's the same box as the GTS.
Or, at the very least you only get the "short-shifter" (short throws / shorter stick) in the GT4

Curious on the short throw shifter mods. Really that much better?

So if it's Germany in March then North America in maybe late Summer or Fall? I'm thrilled with my current base 718 Cayman but would love to do a test drive for the purposes of comparison once they start showing up in dealerships over here. Interesting if it really is manual only. That seems like it would greatly limit the amount of cars they would sell but I guess we will have to wait and see.

I tried to order a Cayman GTS last June and put a deposit on one waiting for a slot. However, they stopped production before I got an order slot. So, I let it ride hoping production would pick back up. Along the way I have heard the rumors of the 4.0 and the dealer said my deposit would hold for it if it was a GTS. Now, I wanted a PDK on my GTS. My guess is that it will eventually be able to be ordered as a PDK once the PDK is offered on the GT4. Not sure I should wait. Something I’ll have to ask my dealer if I eventually get a slot.

Anyone else note that the wheels are new? They coyly do not show them in pics but you can see them in the video. I wonder what the specs will be?
