What I hear on the 718gt4rs.

it’s not the 4.0 from the 991/992 gt3.
it’s “hot rodded” 4.0 from gt4
under 500. Didn’t put a number but said way below.

I want one.

They could count me in if I could get build slot!!!

Don’t forget that in Europe there was a 991.3 GT3 RS with OPF and ITBs putting out 520hp....which is a bit OT because the GT4 RS is not this engine.

I agree with you The RS will have same engine as the GT4. This engine, based on the Carrera 3.0 is built to current emission standard and can be used across multiple cars.
hp- probably around 430-440
transmission - same PDK as in current GT4.

excellence magazine had a big article on the new 992 GT3 and you can find it in the 992 GT3 forum. Post 58

I'd really like to see them revise the ratios for the RS (lower and closer together like the PDK-S in the GT3 where all 7 ratios are performance gears with top speed in 7th near peak power spot on the tach).

me too but that would help it get that much closer to 911 performance which won’t happen.

The GT4 RS will be the last hurrah for the Cayman/718 platform before EV. Anything is possible if they price it just below 911 price.

I tend to agree.. I've got a feeling this will be made as an outlier sort of in the same way the 997.2 RS 4.0 was.

I did hear from a GM that it'll be easier to get than a Speedster and GT2RS but harder to get than a GT3RS. So I'm guessing that they'll build about 4,000 cars worldwide.

Just like everyone thought that the 981 GT4 was going to be the last NA manual from Porsche. AP himself said there is still plenty more to come. We still have the 982.2 to come which will be produced in tandem with the next gen EV platform. There was a 991.1 and 991.2 GT3 RS and I think there will be the same for the 982.1 and 982.2.

Will be interesting .......remember when some were betting the last RS would be it, and the ADM was 50k-100k? First few Speedsters were going 200k over .........I’ve learned to wait and MSRP comes around. Wanting to be first to the party not always advantageous, but if that’s your deal that’s ok too. I will have fun watching the new cycle of GT cars go, I will look at the next gen stuff having too much fun with what I have, and I don’t want to sell anything.

982.2?????? The current "982" is basically a 981.2, second gen of the 98X platform...they just call it 982 internally at PAG but it's the exact same platform as a 981.
Whatever comes next it wont be 982, will be a brand new car with new body-in-white, etc.
