Agreed, that figure is nonsense. Having lived in the UK until recently, some of the big dealers in the UK will be delivering in excess of 50 4RS each. Hell, even the dealer I now have back in my home country (which would be considered small'ish in the UK) has delivered 15 cars so far and will be delivering another 12 cars by the end of this year. That's close to 30 cars from one dealer.

The GM at my dealer said that at a recent meeting GT4RS will be tapering off and he expects a lot less than 2023 models. He received 7 in 2023 and so far nothing confirmed for 2024.
Yeah there might be less GT4RS as they start building the Spyder version.

Yeah, those numbers seem low.

Someone pulled the US data a few weeks back and over 1100 produced so far.

They’re cranking these things out!

50? I haven’t heard anything above 10 so far in the big US dealers.

Default PCCBs “Optimized” for MY24

All, what does “PCCBs optimized” mean for the MY24 4RS? So the current PCCBs are suboptimal 🫠 ?

Congratulations. That’s a milestone. And that’s a cool specification.

That video doesn't help, all it does it state the obvious. No explanation of what/how it is "optimized"

@TRZ06 correct. That’s why I asked the question. In other words, I saw this video and was hoping for the community to explain to me what he means by the “PCCBs have been optimized for MY24”.

I think I read somewhere the pads were reverting back to the same pad used in the earlier 991GT3's, a bit more durable I believe.
Could be wrong of course ...............

I remember AP explaining in an interview on the 992RS where he mentioned that the pads on the RS were a improved formula get 2 ones compared to the ones on the 992GT3. I don't think they're the same as the 991 pads as it would mean having to re-introduce Copper into them.

A few years ago when by law they had to take all of the copper out of the brake pads, they were not very good for track driving. This a new iteration with a new formula that just works better much like the old ones. They are not the same as the old ones. New EU laws have banned copper from the brake pads. There is no going back. As always with Porsche, even with the new regulations, they just created a new compound for the pad material after they experienced some issues with the initial ones.

A pad compound change to improve the newer 'copper free' pads is what i speculated when i first saw this... Not exactly a huge deal, a full set of the new PCCB pads will likely be around $1,200 or less from an OE parts discounter once available, far less than the price increase the '24's are getting.
