Beyond that, Porsche did things differently with GT car allocations this model year as i understand.

But more importantly, your info is contrary to a recent statement by a well known dealer principal here on Rennlist.

Trust me, i hope your advisor is right.... and there are more GT car allocations coming.
I have a second allocation coming.....but don't expect to see that one until early 2024.
To be honest I don't think anyone including that principal knows what Porsche is going to do....**** I doubt even Porsche knows what they are going to do. I'm just holding out hope for the allocation, my guy knows I'm always walking away from the brand if I don't get one since they screwed me at the start of the 4RS allocations.

I know it was discussed early on, but has anyone made progress with a 5-lug conversion? My TYD image has me wondering.

The answer already exists…. Just go to Porsche motorsport and order the 4RS Clubsport carrier/Hub assembly… as that car is 5-lug

The worst thing about centerlocks is the damn grease/paste IMO!
With the right tools, its really not that bad IMO, since you shouldn't have to do it that often.

IMO, the solution is having a smaller, more compact CL tool in case you're far from home on a backroad ...in addition to a patch kit.
But i understand why some hate Centerlocks and would consider a 5-lug conversion...

.
I’ll be more frequent than I would care to with brake pad and track wheel/tire changes.

I’ll have to see what the CS parts costs are.

Definitely take a look at the hytorq gun also. Probably more cost effective overall if you were actually will to spend to swap out carrier/hubs to motorsport parts… unless it was your plan to just use different wheels also.

Benefit of doing this should allow all the GT4 wheels to fit since the offsets/sizes will be the same just 5 lug.

For 20" options, definitely. I'm not certain that 19" sizes would work, as the GT4 RS brakes are larger than GT4 brakes, closer to the PCCB size.

Unfortunately I don’t.

But there will be a thread update around here soon I understand on 5-Lug - CL conversion for GT4/RS.
That may include P/Ns

There was one gentleman on the FB GT4 owners group that swapped his GT4 to CL using all factory GT4 RS hub components. He mentioned it was a direct 1:1 swap...$$$, but no major surgery required. Given this, it makes sense that the reverse would be possible.

Curious about the price, because if it is substantial, say in excess of the torque gun pictured above then I would just stay CL and buy the tool.

One thing to consider is that extra track the 4RS has front and rear is probanbly the result of the center lock hubs.....so if that's the case you have to consider custom wheels with non stock offsets to compensate, if you want to keep the geometry OEM.
