Hey @Whoopsy , have you looked into those LWBS (front) risers that kick back the seat angle a bit? Might help. I got mine from Autoquest, and they don’t have an impact until you raise the seat. I assume the 918 has the same LWBS seat raise function as spyders / gt4s. You probably know all this already, but I thought I would check.

Oh come on, we all friends here. We share the love of Porsches. Might have differences in personal taste on options but can still stay civilized.
Btw, I booked myself for more LWBS punishment next year. I will be driving the 918 from Vancouver to Monterey and back for Rennsport Reunion. I don't dislike the LWBS, but there is something better, and that is 18 way sofas, which I cannot get int the 918. Heck, if they tilt the seat back another 5-10 degrees it would have been more bearable in the 918.

May see you in Oliver at some point, was there this past summer for the Porsche Sports Cup Canada event and will be also driving the Spyder down to Monterey for RR7.

Isn't the saying "there is an *** for every seat?"
My Porsche *** prefers:
.
My Porsche *** prefers:
.
- 18-ways in a daily/mileage eater like the 991 Turbo.
- LWBS in a weekend fun car like a GT3/4/RS.
- Full race buckets in a predominantly track car (my '01 996 Turbo).

Over the years, I have talked to Porsche about the seat angle thing. Actually MANY 918 owners have talked to them. Issue was lack of room inside the car hence why the seat is so upright, a trade off. Also mentioned about the shims trick. The main issue will be those 'mods' aren't safety tested, one has no idea how it's going to react in an accident.
If I do the mod and then got in an accident and the stud broke and the seat come loose, that's gonna be a bad one. The studs were designed to take horizontal shear load, not a diagonal load.
Oh, those stupid LWBS 'raise' function? It just keep jacking up the rear of the seat, not the front of the seat. Counterproductive. I keep my seats all the way down just to have a semi-comfortable angle.
If I am in 18-ways, I raise the front of the seat all the way up, the back of the seat all the way down, then adjust the back angle. Both the thigh and waist bolsters are also all the way in tight. That's my preferred seating position. Very secure even with 3-point as my butt has to fight against gravity in order to slide forward, but together with the left leg on the dead pedal, I am basically firmly installed in the seat, not moving fore and aft nor side to side.
Honestly, it's hard to believe why Porsche can't design a proper comfortable bucket. Ferrari's are top notch, super super comfortable. Heck, even the Mclaren 'cocoon' bucket is better than Porsche's.

Some decent cars in the field e.g. Artura, 296GTB.............and wouldn't be surprised if they picked the GR86. There are so many of these awards now, they hardly matter, but are good for debate.

When you read it...don't get offended! lol. Just remember it is a ROAD test in the UK. There is NO TRACK element to the test. They have a separate test for track cars, which the 4RS will no doubt be part of.
Finally.... it is an RS car. AP told its was... and since 9x1 generation.. RS has come to mean primarily focused on TRACK experience and performance.

No need to do that - I've had sight of the copy since the weekend..so its getting around.
As has ben said - every publication has an end of year test and cars fare differently dependent on the test and the market, it'll all OPINION, but it's interesting for a debate.
