Nice pic, but why not SRS thread

Is that appreciably uglier than a generic spyder? Hmmm

Those cowbells gonna sing in your ear, but at least there isn’t that rear window reflecting all that air box noise at your head.

Well that is what I meant. its not possible to just walk into a dealer with no history of buying other cars and just getting a slot for MSRP. but good on you! wish I was in you position

True...saw the letter from PAG with all the commission numbers of confirm orders at my dealer that will get the lights swap to basics....no options or moving to later date, they just took them out.

Bi-Xenon main headlights they are Ok but the housing on the projector is finished in a shiny plastic like chrome so it's not as nice looking as the optional LED lights that have a full black look.

You can check the specks on the PCNA website, but base lights are non PDLS Bi-Xenons.

For anyone like myself wondering what your losing not having the LEDs here is a video description below between the LEDs and Xenon headlights.

The good news for those who care about this sort of thing... they are lighter and don't require several additional hardware add on modules. LOL.
no LED matrix ever in the 718...

My commission was unilaterally converted back to bi-xenon as well... Kind of sucks, but hard to feel too bad about it as I consider myself extremely fortunate to have an assigned build slot at all!

I would like to step back into the Porsche world. For the moment please allow me to be a bit of a neophyte - can someone characterize how difficult it is to get an order for one of these now if I am willing to wait in line (1-2 years) and pay little to no adm? Do we know what adm's in US dealerships actually are yet? I would consider using Porsche Financing if that would help my chances.

ETA - this would not be for the west coast but the midwest market location. Omaha.

To my understanding this car although not being a limited numbered vehicle it will be limited in production so to speak. I keep hearing the number 584 for the US market float around and that’s from a close source at Porsche.

I am from Minneapolis and can tell you my experience with Porsche Mpls over the last 11 years. I've been on some sort of list for 11 years for various GT cars. Never got any higher than 12. Been as low as 75. I had a fantastic relationship with the #1 GT car salesman and all employees there and had all my cars serviced there. Attended all events etc. Never got a sniff. For flyover country the MPLS car market is strong and there are many VIPs and high rollers and double digit buyers. There were 3 918 VIPS that got almost every car the dealer got. Right before the pandemic hit I went into the GM's office and raised all kinds of hell and offered my 1 of 5 997.2 RS as a trade. I knew it would go nowhere but it was a test. We went round and round for an hour it was hilarious (he didn't know what my 7.2 RS was worth) and he finally said, "If you buy two non GT cars today I will get you a GT car allocation. I'm single and have no need for 3 cars nor the funds! I have purchased 5 Porsches on the secondary market and assumed I would just never get a shot at an allocation. About 3 months ago I was able to secure an allocation for a 4RS from a very generous 918 VIP. I have had some amazing car luck over the years. Advice? Place calls to 20 dealers. Establish a relationship. Talk to known brokers, independents and dealers. Connect to every possible Porsche source. Work the forums, all of them. I don't think a car at MSRP or low ADM is happening anytime soon. Never seen it in 11 years. ADM's? 10-15K on non GT cars and 40-100K on GT cars.

Unless you are willing to pay a 75-150 adm...you have no chance. Absolutely zero chance of getting one.
