718 GT4RS
#4831
I gotta be honest....having just picked up my new GT4....I'm wavering on the RS. I like the more aggressive look.....and of course the Engine is a big deal. But subtract out the -R compound tires and realistically around Road Atlanta or Barber I'm not sure this is fast enough to justify the big jump in price. The suspension more or less being the same......is a huge limiting factor.
But I'm not high enough on the GT3 list so will go for the GT4RS as I have a guarantee allocation for 2022.
IMO if you plan to use it as a track toy the 4RS is better left alone with as few options as possible, that means no WP, no Mag wheels then it starts to makes more sense in terms of $$$$

I totally understand.....it's close to 992 GT3 in price (when GT4RS is spec w/ WP) that made me think twice. The suspension alone was a major plus for the GT3.

If I did it would the occasional track toy. I've got a 981 Clubsport...I plan to upgrade to RS Clubsport once the trickle down in 18 months.....and the allure of have both RS' ......would be pretty awesome.
I already know I have zero chance of getting the 3RS as an allocation.

The RS also comes with standard things like buckets that are $$ on the GT3 and the interior options cost less than GT3, among other things. I came up with $20-30k difference after choosing options. Of course I will never get either one because GT car dealer games suck and I'd never pay over MSRP for anything, but I can still dream about an MSRP allocation...

Seems like dealers are getting allocations and they are really thin. Less than the initial GT3 allocations. One dealer also told me that Porsche USA offered them to 918 VIPs first and they did not receive a single allocation.

Yup. My dealer told me on Saturday that there was confusion between what the Head of the GT Program said "Build as many possible" vs "Dealers are likely only getting 1-3".....sadly it looks like the 1-3 is the truth and if you aren't a 918 VIP you ain't getting ****.

The only dealer I know got 3 because they spent $50 million+ on a new building and location. Obviously no VIP clients there yet. $125k over MSRP, 2 are gone already.

People need to calm the fock down, this is the first initial release of allocations and they'll build this car until the next of 2023. Stop acting like little crybabies and be patient. Want the car now? Ok, pay a $100k+ ADM for it and STFU. Of course it's not gonna be a lot of cars and of course the non-mortal VIPs will raise their hands to get an allocation. I told my dealer I'm happy to wait until next year to get the car. Besides, I want tuners to come up with mods for the car by the time I have the car.
