Also zero official mention that it will ever come in Spyder form at all. That's been all speculation to this point. A Spyder RS might be more like a speedster, less track focused and MT perhaps.

I think there is been some credible info about the Spyder RS. The info also included data about the 4RS that was absolutely correct.

White car with blue wheels and stickers is going to be awesome. If any of these trade hands to a non-VIP for less than $200,000 it will be shocking.. And that's without any options
Are you saying AP is the father of the Cayman Complex?

You have to admit it would be the ducks guts if they did one though?

A Spyder RS might be more like a speedster, less track focused and MT perhaps? With that engine it would be nice. Not for me tho, I am not a convertible guy.

Totally..there are some very credible sources that nailed the specs early on..the other 95% of the posts on this thread, however let's just say the value add was more limited

No mention of tyre sizes yet, that will be interesting to note. So the front wings are CF, they look wider but I can't tell.

Hopefully more $140 than $150.......also, we do have to keep in mind that sometime the prices in Europe don't necessarily translate to the US.

Yep, I believe the prediction in August had the reveal date as tomorrow and the folkiest delivery date in March. Nailed both. The GT3 engine and very close to 509 HP was also spot on.

Lots of arrows thrown.

There are some well connected cleaning ladies.

And the luxury tax for it. Keep in mind that in ROW it had a halfcage (clubsport pkg) included and that when it came to the US that feature was deleted but the price didn't change.

In all honesty the Boxster/Cayman is not the Porsche flagship car and I doubt how many would be willing to pay over $200k for such a car. Also, what unique features do you think the Spyder RS can have other than the GT4 RS engine and possibly slightly increased aero over the regular 718 Spyder? Honestly, I love the idea of a 6 speed manual Spyder RS but nowhere near twice the price point of the 'standard' Spyder. I would not pay more than $30-40k over the 'standard' Spyder for such a car. And I sincerely doubt many will jump ship onto the Spyder RS at over $200k MSRP.

I bet its 30-40k for the WP package with wheels.

So $140-150k US is a 40% ish premium over the regular GT4? That's a big jump. Even if it was available in MT I would probably still opt for a regular GT4 if given my time again.

I might give my sales guy a call and see what availability will be like in Australia. Things seem much easier to get down here.
