Can't wait until the car is announced, if for no other reason that we can then retire this ~2,500 post long speculation and conjecture thread...
Meh. What would we do with all our time then?
In the tangential topic:
I think it is possible that Porsche might release a Boxster 718 RS Spyder 60 GT4 Anniversary VIP Heritage Edition with a manual gearbox.
However, it would be the same box as in the current crop of 4.0s and thus limited to 309 ft-lbs. Power bump over the current 4.0 would all be about moving the torque curve up the RPM range and a consequent sacrifice of low-end torque.
And, then, you can bet that the gearing-is-too-long folks will start another 27 threads on The Horror! The Horror of the gearing.
No way. Because the new Clubsport is confirmed to have a 4.0 in it if I remember correctly. I don't see the Street 4RS getting a bigger engine than that or especially the new GT3.

And the present CS iteration has a differently sized engine than the std street version. 'Nuff said.

We will see....I just don't find putting a 4.2L in the 4RS believable....the rumors and speculation have gotten insane lately and backed up by nothing.
