I'm sure someone on here knows (or knows the people who do know)
sorry, the responses I got were "it keeps the temperatures down" and "it makes more power (big smile)" and when asked how much it weighs, "enough"
the post race inspection was interesting!
I'm hearing it's for aits but no bump in power, more about maintaining peak power running in hot weather. Seems like the new vents from the front side rads just in front of the front wheels are creating the (desired) air curtain effect but that also means they are directing hot post rad air to the side intakes increasing aits. Oops.

I used to think that they would be cool on my car, until I talked to a few owners, then dealer techs, I am quite happy that they are NOT on my incoming Spyder... looks isn't everything!

Carscoops has an article about the RS.

According to them, the car has been spotted with Centerlock wheels.

Soooo...a GT4 RS with regular steel brakes, CLs and the clubsport intake system?
I'll take the steel brakes but not the CLs

If you look at the pictures closely you WILL NOT find the CS intake system. Louvres don't mean the rest is there.

Probably right....I can't really make out for sure if the system is there or not. But on the first photos last year you couldn't see inside either.
Wonder why they taped the hood scoops.....

The picture I saw was winter conditions and IIRC the ducts are for brake cooling? Not needed for that part of the test cycle...

I know and it's obvious that in those conditions you wouldn't need extra brake cooling but again, if you are testing the car for production you would also want data and results from how the car would be deliver to the customer and used in those conditions....besides brake cooling I could think of aero performance differences and introduction of snow/water in the NACA duct.....also, some of those photos the PAG driver is actually stopping and posing for the photographer....wonder if PAG is behind all these "leaked GT4RS" photos.
We keep waiting.......
