140k euro would still make it 165k USD for the base! More than a new base GT3.

A Turbo with 500HP eh? Be one hell of an engineer feat with the exhaust seen in all the mules on the ring and running around LA placed exactly like the NA model.

Not to mention the exhaust note between the two is unmistakable.

I know common sense is in shorter supply than usual. It’s a Covid thing I guess.

Easily verified via the Porsche site for each car under tech spec. Unless of course you think Porsche does it like GM.

LOL. I looked it up and you are correct.

However the track width is greater on the GT3 compared the GT4, which also adds stability, probably more so than wheelbase.

Wheelbase is the longitudinal distance from the middle of the front and rear wheels.

Is that statement for the benefit of GM or Porsche forum members?

Actually that was for me, talking out loud, LOL. I actually didn't know that. I thought wheelbase had to do with the width, not the length.

I would think that track width would play a bigger part in high speed stability over wheelbase.

Yeah. People think the Boxster/Cayman is "smaller and nimbler" than the 911. It isn't. They're pretty much exactly the same size and it blows people's minds when you show them the actual numbers and point out that the 911 has a shorter wheelbase.

The major difference is that they've turned the drivetrain around. The 911 has the little rear seats with the motor behind them. The Cayman/Boxster has a trunk with the motor in front of it. The size of the motor and transmission is pretty much the same and is shared among various models. Weights are also very similar, for all these same reasons.

It’s more-or-less obvious when you park them side-by-side. The 991 has a huge rear overhang compared to the 98[12]. It has to. A lot of material is needed to hide the a$$-engine from the rain.

Ugh, more regurgitation of RennRumor. Motortrend must be hurting for content.

Yeah. That's an utter non-story at this point. Love that they couldn't even be bothered to use a proper pic.
