Here's another competitor's Turn-key race car (not sure if price will be competitive with new Clubsport or not):

Corvette Z06 GT3.R Will Be Sold to the Racing Public! (motortrend.com)

What was interesting to me with the Clubsport Track Day is that you can run it without track side support. (unless you have a problem).

Would a Z06 GT3.R allow the same.

It's an interesting thing to look at because a Clubsport could arguably be a 3RS or GT3 replacement for track use only, cost wise. Which is manageable for those who have a 3RS or high spec GT3. Start adding the costs of having a support staff at the track with you and that bumps it up a notch in terms of expense.

This is for DE use.

Good question - maybe a GT3-level race car (like Z06 GT3.R) is not practical for DE use. As far as roadgoing 911 GT3 or RS as a competitor to Clubsport, remember that the road cars come with warranty (and you can drive them to the track) - this can make a big difference for some.

The recent Cayenne GT thing went live the day of the announcement, if I recall correctly.

Yes absolutely. Trailer becomes another expense and tow vehicle if you don't have a capable SUV or pickup. My thought process comes from perspective of - safety, capability and vehicle use. I would only use my GT3 for track (rare street) because that's where it's fun, so thinking is why not get something purpose built.

Do the Clubsports not come with any warranty? Didn't know that, I requested sales info from PMNA a couple years back but didn't think of warranty question.

Race cars never come with warranty. Road cars have full warranty, even when sharing an engine with a factory race car that has 100 hour or shorter engine rebuild schedule.

Well then, if no warranty on a Clubsport Track Day.....I'd likely be out if I was ever in. That's a costly proposition if something major were to happen.

Yeah production-based racecars can be pretty costly to run. That's why something like a Mustang GT4 has some appeal, because engine rebuilds are gonna be a lot cheaper than a GT4 CS. Going one step further, a Radical ends up being a better deal on running costs because it uses less consumables and rebuilds are even cheaper, at least for the 4 cylinder versions.

True. I used to get emails from Ford Performance School as you can buy their outgoing cars, the consumer ones but also their race prepped ones.

Bunch of Radical guys out here at CTMP/Mosport. Those things go like hell, they seem to have a blast. People from Radical are always out there to support, I think there's a cost to it.

One interesting comment I read on a German forum. Somebody made a claim that GT4RS wheel would be available in black with a yellow trim ring similar to the blue and red trim rings on the GT3 wheels. Deduction here is that quite possibly yellow might be the presentation color of the GT4RS similar to the intro color of the GT4. If it will be the same yellow, who knows.

Heard from a dealer that GT4RS Base Price would be $141k

Nothing confirmed, just mentioned in passing.
