718 GT4RS

Most sports cars are about bragging rights. And many basic cars can be modded to beat their upmarket siblings. It's just something about being given the superior package in a Fresh new factory fresh box which somehow gets peoples ***** tingling. Think about the CXX Porsche door stickers on 991 GT3.. no performance improvement necessary and yet people paid $1000+ to have a vinyl sticker on their car's factory window sticker.
Also, we shouldn't underestimate the value of being able to drive your car to and from the track without needing a trailer. I see the niche within a niche within a niche carved out bu the GT4RS as being a pretty desirable one.
I define it as:
-you like the Gt3 but you miss the mid-engine sound and feel.
-you love the Gt4 but hate the weak engine but don't like the idea of going to demann to spend $50k on the 4.5L engine
-you love then Gt4 Clubsport and think it's the most fun car you've ever driven (me) but don't have room or time to deal with trailering a racecar on slicks (also me).
-the idea of a 2015 991.1 GT3 PDK for track use isn't exclusive enough even though it's same price and likely better performance than GT4RS because you're a poseur of the highest order amd having something factory fresh and new makes your ***** tingle (also also me).
Then, the GT4RS IS FOR YOU! (also me)

4.5 is just under 30k but while it is in the shop you may be tempted to add a bunch of other options like re-gearing and LSD... The final price would depend on those options... But while the RS will very likely have a few more ponies and be a nice cohesive package, it will never make the hair on you arm stand up at full cry like the 4.5 does. It has more horsepower than a .2 RS and WAY more low end torque. It is a very special engine for sure!

The 4.5 treatment for the 4.0 should be significantly less than for the old 3.8 as it doesn't require a new crank nor any X51 parts and the intake manifold can stay as well.
But comparing an engine job like that to an OEM product with full warranty is a bit pointless.

Agreed....they have been pretty solid so far from the feedback posted in RL.
Looking it from the usual track use perspective....I guess for those looking for numbers or a very competent track car that can be daily the best would be finding a nice 981 GT4 at the lowest price and giving it to BGB or DeMan.

Agree 100% and that is also why I switched from 3RS to GT4 for tracking. My GT4 will slowly get some updates that will probably make it much faster than stock GT4 and at the end of the day, I just want to safely compete with myself.

All three dealers I checked with said they are going to add an ADM to this car. How much will be determined upon prices set in the strongest of the Porsche markets (e.g., SoCal). They will then attempt to ask for the same in the local market.
