Bummer. I'd call all the usual suspects here in NorCal. Never know, with CV19 out there, people may be backing out.

I'd call Joe Frank at Porsche Chandler in Arizona. He emailed me about an allocation for a GT4 but if memory serves, he said he had both. I already have an allocation somewhere else.

Yeah that's what is holding me up; I paid extra for the gloss black emblem, so I'd like to not throw away that money before I even drive it!

They won't sell to you unless you are local in the market. They break that rule sometimes with a car that has sat on their showroom for awhile, but not the norm. I live 4 miles away and have bought multiple cars from them.

Not true. I took one of their GT4 allocations and I’m in Monterey.

Their Spyder allocation is gone.

I’m on the waiting list for a Spyder so this would cover me. I’ll be reaching out. Thanks!

Interesting. You are the first I have heard of. I have a friend in SLC who tried to buy several GT cars from them with no luck. Congrats. They had 2 spyder allocations and I got one of them.

I had the other one before I switched to a GT4. They immediately placed it when I gave it up.

My guess is that they probably relaxed the geography thing given the current environment.

Why the switch? Too much Vitamin D?

Just decided the coupe is more my preference. Both great cars but I’m very glad I made the switch for me. The 981 Spyder was the first convertible that ever interested me and I really liked it, but I’m a coupe guy at heart.

But, yes, I had some malignant skin cancer about five years ago, so less sun can’t hurt.

@Larry Cable Indeed Monterey has open GT4 allocation, confirmed today (5/24). Not sure about Spyder allocation.
