Saw this in the Porsche Newsroom this morning: https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2020...nes-20905.html

Applicable to the Spyders only I'm assuming as it's at Zuffenhausen; not sure if this will be added to Osnabruck.

Very cool, but what did Max always say? "...I missed it by this much..."

Thanks for sharing!

Doesn’t work for my Spyder order (fix date = 5/22)... For my 992 4S order it was active right away.
I wish Porsche wouldn’t post articles like this until it’s fully functional... such a tease.

I highly recommend this Youtube video as it addresses the shipping of all our cars from Germany and allows us to see what a complex operation it is loading cars and heavy equipment. This is not a Volkswagen Ship and not from Port Emden
but the process is the same. Someone else posted this vid on the Emden thread, sorry I forget who, but thank you. It is a fun watch.

My car hit V300 yesterday and was assigned a VIN. Delivery date updated from 07/25 to 07/18. SA confident it will likely be here sooner than that.

Tried the My Porsche app that the article spoke of. The app couldn't find my car with the Vin.
You would think once the car is assigned a Vin the app would pick it up. Maybe because the
car hasn't been delivered?

No idea; I'd assume if you have a VIN, they should be able to add the car. @Westcoast you can login through the Porsche website as well, I have my Macan linked to my account. Can push stuff to your car through Porsche Connect if you have it.

Ahhh yes, I did opt for Porsche Connect and did see that it wanted me to add the vehicle via VIN, of course I do not have that as yet...

And now with camera's in Zuffenhausen I am sure that you would again need the VIN for that process.

My Spyder was originally supposed to lock on 3/13, so I was hoping it was able to get started before the shutdown. But, it looks like that didn't happen. Here is the status I just received from my dealer.

It didn't say Zuffenhausen for production photos. Just an employee based in Zuffenhausen was quoted. Few lines is just states 718 sports cars.

I emailed my dealer to find out how I can get these. My build is not in the My Porsche portal.

Actually the first line states its at Zuffenhausen which would be consistent with the 911 and Boxster/Spyder construction in the photos: "The online “My Porsche” platform is now becoming even more attractive: the new “Behind the Scenes” function gives customers an exclusive insight into production at the sports car manufacturer in Zuffenhausen."

Of course you could also read that first line as to reference Porsche as the sports car manufacturer in Zuffenhausen and not the factory itself.

I'm in for service tomorrow, so hoping for a positive update on my build and will ask them if this is something that's available right now for the GT4. Would be really cool to see pictures of my build throughout the process!
