Good choice on the 458, but the prices are indeed insane. They're costing more than the 488 in some markets. I had a chance to get a 1yo 488 below 200k or a 458 w/ low miles for about 160k just before corona but went with the 992 instead as the rear seats were still useful and it was new. Oh well. Now the market is like that.

Check the Artura, orders at MSRP locally. It was my next choice if the a Porsche GT would remain unobtainable. The lotus is an interesting option but for the price is too close to the GT4.

I agree with others that prices will settle with increasing rates, but bear in mind that the dealers stocked some nice fat for the winter of high APR, so it may take some time for some of them to bail.

I respect your decision but is 10k not worth your mental health to just pay that and be 100% done with this "game" where you will have your own buildable allocation and not have to keep chasing "the dream"? I already bought a used Spyder(got insanely lucky and found a PCCB/6MT/LWB/PDLS+ one for much lower than what everyone else asked that never hit the market) but I'd honestly be happy to pay 10k to get delivery earlier and not have to keep dealing with the daily wanting of an allocation.

What makes you think I have mental health anguish over this? I had no problem turning down the allocation.

If anyone in the world gets a GT4 at MSRP, I hope it's you. 👍🏻

Thanks, hombre. There are probably people who have been waiting a heck of a lot longer than me that should get one first, but I will take one if my name is called.

Big mistake. You could’ve gotten your car into production and had a great time with it and probably never lost a penny.

I'm in the same headspace. Maybe it's because I'm also in my mid/late 30s, but if I don't get a GT4RS, I'll get something else down the road. This isn't going to be the last car I buy, and I'm not willing to overpay just to have one before everyone else.

Hell yeah, brother! Hopefully, we both get what we want, but if not, we live to fight another day!

Big mistake, huh? A big mistake would be forgetting to turn the stove off before leaving the house or not closing my fence and letting my German Shepherd loose. This is a car. I will survive a little while longer without it. I am happy you have yours, and that you are enjoying it, though.

Anyone had any luck finding GTS 4.0 allocations recently with minimal ADM? I’m on a few lists and being quoted 10-15k ADM should I receive an allocation. That seems high considering people are being offered GT4s/Spyders at 15-20k over. I also am in SoCal though.

Sometimes we make it sound like getting an allocation is as important as our basic necessities for life! lol.

At the end of the day, it is just a car and as @Rasputin. mentioned, there are far greater priorities. Sometimes it just comes down to waiting. I for one support his decision to wait as I waited for mine. In fact, I am also looking to add a Spyder to the GT4 so in the same boat. Alternatively, there are other options like a 992 GTS Cab for consideration or another brand that may not have as much demand. In fact, I recall someone mentioning Ferrari dealers are required to sell at MSRP haha

Obviously $ is not the issue.

I understand where you are coming from. It is a matter of principle that you don't pay over MSRP. I get it.

Hopefully you will find one.

OTOH, if you are giving up a Spyder, I would say don’t settle for the uglier car.
