I would hazard to guess... In September there is availability for PTS on the Spyder, and back in August with a date for build in December.

Your SA should be able to decipher this information for you, have you asked?

I think the PTS window is for September allocations and the deadline for those builds to be approved and locked was 8/16 for December deliveries

If we’re guessing I’d say that for 718 allocations it’s available from 09/21 allocations onward. Hence “on”.

Deadline for 12/21 allocations was on 16 Aug…this checks as PTS allocations always lock early.

I’m wondering if there isn’t more info beyond the chart; makes it look like PTS available every model always…not my experience.

is it too late to get in line for an allocation before end of model in 2022?

You can always get in line. Now whether you get one is another story. Go to your local dealer and feel them out. Good luck!!!

If you’re proactive and are willing to buy from any dealership it’s realistic to expect an allocation within 6 months. If you’re willing to pay ADM then probably right this minute is possible.

Great to hear that. I am patient and only willing to pay MSRP. I am in PNW with no big volume dealers. It seems quite a few dealers in southern California are not interested in helping out-of-state buyers. Do you know any particular high-volume dealer willing to help far away out-of-state buyer?

Thank you for the encouragement. I just started calling around and collecting some data from dealers about ADM, waitlist length, and the number of allocations they got from the previous 12 months.

Probably depends on what model you want. The GTS models are likely to soldier on into at least 2023. But if you want a GT4 or Spyder, it may already be too late. Looks like there will at least be a 2023 GT4 RS model in limited volume and at a premium price, but beyond that, who knows when Spyder and regular GT4 orders close?

gt4… I just called all the dealer I can find on west coast (OR CA WA) and not getting much love. I am looking to get in a few reasonable long wait lists with no ADM. Any other region in the country I should prioritize to call next?

I got my allocation in May. Back then, I had two available. I took the local one (Manhattan Motorcars). They also offered me a bigger discount. The other was at Porsche of Conshohocken in PA. But I bought my current car (2016 981CS MT) from them pre-owned. So, they know me. They offered me a $1k discount.
