I was talking to Ben quite a bit in the past when I was considering a 991 Speedster. He is very helpful but at the end of the day, one is best working on their own, with the help of Rennlist, if they want the best deal (eg.., money in their pocket).

Default Looking for a 2021/2 Spyder Allocation

Anyone know of a dealer with a 2021 Spyder allocation, with delivery summer 2021?
would greatly appreciate any lead. Otherwise I’m settling for a dealer spec’d one.

Thank you,

Thank you,
Call Anthony Nish at Porsche Beachwood. On Friday, I passed on 2021 Spyder for July delivery and took a 2022 July build allocation instead. Not sure if the 2021 allocation has been taken by another customer yet or not.

You should have said "anticipated" 2022 build allocation - there are no 2022 allocations yet.

I’ll reach out tomorrow. I got my GTS from them last year.

Just a data point/observation. I have been daily tracking the GT4 and Spyder (new) dealer availability via the usual sites for about 4 months now. The number available has dramatically decreased over the last 4-6 weeks. In December you could find ~120-140 combined across the nation (USA) at any given time. Some of these were pre-sold already if you inquired to the dealer so maybe take out ~1/3 of those as not really being available. Today it's down to less than ~50 and has been steadily dropping each week. I was lucky enough to find a Spyder about 7 hours away that hadn't been sold (ordered by Dealer back in November because no one was on his list at the time) that had 95% of what I would have ordered. Maybe just the natural cycle of year and season transition but clearly a trend down in availability. Maybe also exacerbated by the GTS.

Matthew,

Yes it's all went just as it was suppose to when dealing with a "Legitimate-Authorized-Porsche-Dealership" !!!

This is going to be I'm pretty sure something to look forward to in the months coming.

Copy that about the decrease in cars in the last 8weeks. Spyders and GT4s did not linger on the dealership lots very long this time around. Everyone loves the cars. I think NA Spyder/gt4 have reached a critical mass of interest. I had a kid point out that I was in a 982 Spyder today, that didn't happen much to me when I had a 981 back in '16.. Actually a similar reaction to my 981 spyder was a dad and his daughter asking me if it was a VW Kit Car Lol.
The new 718s 4.0 are pretty nice.

Hey everyone! New to the forum, but long time Porsche owner. Signed up to see if you all could help...

I put a deposit down to hold and buy a 2021 GT4 (dealer allocation I believe). Spec'd nicely and it wasn't taken. The same night, I get a call back from the SA saying PCNA issued a "stop sale" on several 718's, 911's, and Taycan's. What are the odds?!?!? Took me several weeks to find a GT4 I liked that wasn't already sold, spoken for, or allocated somewhere else.

My question to you all: Does anybody know any details about the "stop sale" in the LA Region? Is ti only LA Region?

Based on the notification, I would think more 718's are effected by this and not just limited to 64 vehicles in the LA Region Area. There are a couple more GT4's at other LA Region Dealers that where on the list (I got a copy of that too).

For now, I am waiting on updates from my SA and PCNA in Atlanta. My GT4 is sitting in the service area waiting...
Thanks in advance for ALL the insights and help. Apologize in advance if this is not the right place/thread. I blame it on being a noob...

Edit: Notification of stop sale was on February 26, 2021

Here’s to hoping they officially announce the GTS 4.0 for MY2022...not very optimistic I’ll get a PTS BGTS 4.0 allocation!

which, if you ask my wife, is a good thing.

in my pursuit for paint to sample, I am going to go with a 2022 allocation now since none available this go around will probably find out in June/July

doesn't really matter for me though since even if I got PTS now the car probably wouldn't be ready till the middle of winter, and now if I get a june/july alloc the car will be ready in march/april 2022 which is fine

they apparently announced spyders will be built in 2022 so I can't imagine that gt4 and GTS 4.0's won't still be built in 2022 as well
