Similar thing happened 4 years ago for me... My former business partner was arrested and all assets related to the company we ran or that could be linked back to the company were seized/frozen.

Case wasn't resolved until a couple of months ago. I hope you come out unscathed.

I replaced my maf and hood latch this weekend. The maf made the car liven up a bit. My old maf still worked (no error codes, but figured I would pick one up given I bought an authentic bosch for 160). I replaced the latch because the trunk wasnt springing up enough.

Wow. Glad you came out of it! In my case, the CEO was arrested for embezzling from his previous company (8.3 million!) and also 'aggravated identity theft.' There will not be a happy ending.

However, I got a strong prospect for my car right away... may conclude Friday.

Yeah, I was never a target and never had to testify or be involved outside of being questioned twice, just had to stick it out and suffer. Retained an attorney just in case, thankfully never really needed her and his attorneys fought the forfeiture case on my behalf since the only assets I had involved were tied up with his in the seizure.

This was also a case of financial crimes (money laundering and embezzlement among others)... Turns out this particular business that we started was just one of many that he was using to launder money obtained from other avenues.. Never saw it coming, just thought everything he touched turned to gold when really it was only gold because he was funneling money earned elsewhere through his various businesses to legitimize it. All of the money in the company accounts at time of seizure had to be forfeit to the government unless could be clearly proven to come from other means... Forfeiture courts are complete backwards of regular courts, there is no this is legal unless we can prove it, it is this is illegal gains unless you can prove it.. So there was some money lost, and I was really angry in the beginning, but I'm just glad it is done and I can move on and wish him the best. I had known him from first year in college through graduation and for years after. Never saw it coming. I guess that is how the story always goes.

He was convicted in July, pending sentencing. Pretty sure he's going to be spending some time in Club Fed.

Thank god your situation isn't to the same level. Hate to see it effect you like it is with having to liquidate, but it could be a lot worse. Cheers.

This doens't help you now because you've already done it, but you can adjust it if it does not pop up enough to open. I had to do that a year or 2 ago. Future reference if it happens again, or for others

Nice image KC created, but if he's truthful about it, he'd admit it's photoshopped.

Oh and KC's white TT rocks... white looks soooo good.
