Did the comb flap and footwell actuator diaphragm replacements. Those 2 diaphragms are the MOST expensive rubbers I have ever bought! $100 for both, yike!

A few years ago I experimented with window tint to make the amber section of the tail lights less prominent. I did not want to use translucent paint, as it would be difficult to control consistency, if a light had to be replaced. And I had seen cases where the turn signal had become near impossible to see under the thick layer of paint.
The window tint looked surprisingly good for the past years, but turned increasingly purple and developed a few wrinkles and bubbles. No surprise, as it was cheap material that wasn't made for this purpose in the first place.
So it was time to redo the tint. This time I bought special vinyl tint film for automotive lights and used a hair dryer to warm and wrap it around the edges. It turned out pretty good, despite my lack of experience with this material the hardest part was to make a clean cut along the lower edge of the amber section.

Now, what did I do today on the car...
Spent the afternoon adjusting ride height, first we went down, a little shakedown run, stood back and scratched my head, nope, so then we went up, another shakedown run, scratched my head some more...today we go back down to where it was or a tad lower. Very fortunate both sides adjusted easily, after making an adjustment tool and spraying with blaster, just have to decide what looks the best and will offer decent driveability.

Drove them all ....
Had to decide, which to drive, the black 86 'wide body' , the 84 Euro, or my original 81 -- or the 29 Ford street rod..... no problem, drove them all

Trying to get the new timing belt on Ahhhhhhhhh!!!
Bloody HELL
Got it on after I went and got mechanics gloves, need more torque from my fingers.
Could have lost a nail if I didn't lol.
Cranked it over no problems, tomorrow same thing...

An easy one tonight - replaced the air filter.
Putting the cover back on with the buckle straps I could not help but marvel their ability to get hung up, mis-aligned and otherwise be difficult to position. I can only hope that design engineer who came up with this is permanently locked up in an insane asylum.
