Ugh... not sure what's happening... now going 2.1 knots
Something is not well with JB, this is not going as well as I hoped.
It is currently heading EAST.
Whatever it is I hope they get it resolved prior to traversing the Atlantic!
As do I. I'm curious if there are any apps where we can listen to chatter from the captain to the harbor master...
No 'Live-ATC' for shipping .
I'm not sure what harbor they would be communicating with. I suspect they are in heavy conversation with the shipping director.
Along the earlier line of not being a shipping logistics planner: I'm not a weatherman, I only play one on TV....
When I saw that these postings, I looked at the weather satellite map and it looks like there is a major weather front coming in from the northern Atlantic and is currently west of UK. Jiuyang might be waiting out the storm in the English Channel? Regardless, I hope everything turns out fine.
P.S., Last week, someone mentioned a recent east coast bound ship did the same thing where it back tracked in the English Channel.

Good call @Marin Vizsla you must have stayed at the Holiday In Express last night! Excellent point! Looking closer at the tools in Vessel finder I see where I can plot wind and waves. From what I can tell with my very limited knowledge on how to read their data, I would hold back for calmer seas and winds!
Good commercial reference! Jiuyang would be going against some pretty stiff wind / ocean currents if it ventured out in the Atlantic now. I used this site to look at the satellite weather map: https://zoom.earth/places/atlantic-o...eed/model=icon .
Again, just my guess....

You might be right. I check out the Weather app on iPhone and it looks somewhat bad out there... the attached video file makes the upcoming wind storm look pretty bad.

Very wise. I would prefer Jiuyang stay in somewhat protected waters while the storm blows through. I would hate for the ship and its contents be damaged due to high seas! The above website has excellent tools for displaying the forecasted models, thank you @Marin Vizsla . JB may sit tight for a day or two weather permitting.
